What you witnessed yesterday was the overthrow of the Federal Government by the church of scientology and Judge Greer, who effectively became the judicial and legislative and executive branch of the government. He told them to STUFF it and they did. You will see this happen again and again in the future days, months and years.
I don't think it has yet hit any of our legislators in the house and senate, but at this point in time if a state judiciary does not like what the legislative branch passes, this precedent will surely let them know, just as it lets each of you know that regardless of anything you say or vote, you are going to be euthanized when you are no longer productive. Forget social security, they aren't going to let you spend it unless you have beaucoup in the bank producing lots of interest, paying more taxes on this interest than social security will pay you. As soon as there is not a net gain you are dead. This is one of the tenants of scientology.
Foreign nations will now have to negotiate trade deals with individual states or risk that the individual states will not honor the treaties negotiated by an ineffectual federal government that exists only in our minds. The judiciary in individual states can now tell the executive and legislative branches that they are not going to enforce laws passed by the Legislative Branch of the old government except by state judicial discretion, to pay taxes, obey laws, or send soldiers to defend our nation are now also subject to their discretion. Of course the legislative branch could tell the state there would be no more federal money, but that won't work either because then they would not be re-elected when the schools, transportation, medical and welfare systems shut down.
So you see, you need to get out your flags (you'll have to ask George what the design will be, maybe someone can design one for him) and bow down to the new "President" and "Legislative" branch of the new government of the United States, George G. Greer.
You have witnessed a bloodless coup.
I also think that The Empire Journal might want to look in the direction of an organization of Democratic Aides.

Let's see some action today before it's too late. Save Terri, get her feeding tube reinserted and put Greer on notice that he's OUTTA THERE!!!

No kidding. I couldn't believe it when they let Greer get away with interfering with an investigation by the Dept. of Children and Families. Unbelieveable. Greer has hamstrung the Governor of the State of Florida, the Congress of the United States, the United States Supreme Court, and even our President. Unbelievable.

There's way too much at stake here to sit on our hands and just let this all happen.

I've been out since the tube was pulled with no access to computer, tv or radio. Empire Journal says Supremes denied Congress, is there any hope left???
I would like to see that, but I was also hoping for something even those of us on the other coast could participate in.
I've contacted mine, but I was a little frustrated that the automatic form didn't have a way to contact the House leaders directly. It sent my appeal through my worthless Congresscritter, which means I might as well have flushed it down a toilet, I'm afraid.
I was hoping for a big turnout yesterday, it surprises me that more people in that area aren't concerned.
Jeb and W had better be jumping in and taking control!!! It seems the Judicial system is running the country. Where are our leaders? Monday? Are they feeding THEIR faces in the meantime? I am outraged.

Yes, there's always hope as long as there is life left. I heard Tom DeLay last night on Michael Reagan's talk show, and he and others are working all this weekend to resolve the differences between the House and Senate versions of the Bill, so that when they vote on it that it will be passed into Law. They are meeting on Monday to vote on it.
But he also said something very chilling: He said that Terri will probably not last as long this time and that she could be dead within 2-3 days. They are monitoring things closely, it sounds like, and if Terri becomes critical the president can call an emergency session of Congress to vote on this Bill.
PRAY that they will get this impasse between the House and Senate resolved, and that they will do it on time, so that Terri doesn't have to keep suffering needlessly.
I think it's important that we contact both our Senators and Representatives by phone, faxes and email, AND flood President Bush with phone calls and emails urging them to ACT THIS WEEKEND.
That would be real convenient for them if she dies first wouldn't it? I'm beginning to feel like this was a setup.
Here we are again, hoping for them to come through.
17 doctors affidavits were filed with the court about a week ago. Judge Greer is a rogue. There are things that were supposed to be done "by law" before a feeding tube is removed but they weren't. Terri can speak.
