Keep reading what I wrote - if it worked and all was peaceful, that would be great. But it doesn't work. Criminals don't respect gun control laws at all, it would just leave everyone else defenseless (including law-abiding citizens, police and security)
If you think the police would ever be disarmed you are even more clueless than your initial reponses indicated.
