Onyx's husband fell thru a glass door and severed an artery in his arm this morning. He almost bled to death while waiting for 911 to come, but they made it.
They've been at the hospital since noon, with him in and out of surgery. They are back in surgery now, with 3 surgeons trying to repair a lot of torn and severed veins and archeries. He's lost a lot of blood, they've given him 6 pints so far.
It's very complicated, but those are the basics.
Yikes! Hurts just to read about it :(. I'm glad they were able to stop the bleeding.
Thank you TT for posting this, and for the updates.
Prayers from Ct for a full recovery.
It was my pleasure. ;)
Prayers up for your husband, yourself, and your family, Onyx!
Thank you for the update, Trinity! It is wonderful how Freepers can pull together.

My wife, when she woke up at 5:30 AM was told about what had happened. She understood also.
My best to you for a speedy recovery.
Many prayers for your dear husband, onyx. May he make a full recovery.
Father Lord, please guide the surgeons hands, please give this man a complete recovery from this fall and surgery. In the name of Jesus, amen.
Prayers of comfort and healing are on their way. That must have been so scary to witness and endure. May God be with you and hear your every prayer.
Bad things still do happen to good people, but when they do people realize how close God has been all along.
Oh my word!
Prayers being said!
Five years ago, my wife was in a horrible auto accident and has been crippled ever since. In a strange way, that is perhaps the best thing that ever happened to the both of us.
That accident forced me to take care of my wife like a little baby, and taught us how vulnerable life actually is. My wife learned some valuable lessons also, but she is the one tell those stories.
After 15 years of marriage, we fell in love with each other all over again.
Today, I have the most loving wife that any man could ever wish for.
thoughts and prayers
ditto.

Thank goodness for your strength and your husbands training.
