[history]
Kerry Pacer was used to the whispering behind her back, the name-calling and the snickering when she walked down the hall. But when almost the entire student body at White County High School booed as she accepted a rose from a female friend during a Valentine's Day (news - web sites) program last month, she knew it was time to do something.

Thank you. I did meant aberrant.
I personally don't care what homos do. I just don't want their perversion in my face - and my kids will never learn that it is OK.

At the risk of repeating myself, we already have laws against battery and assault. Look up the definition of assault. Many types of bullying come close to fitting that definition.
If you want to open up the can of worms of "intimidation", you are, by definition, a nanny-stater.
Bah.
I doubt the definition of a "nanny-stater", if there is one, includes advocating the protection of innocents from thugs.

She is in High School! She is not gay or straight, she is a kid. She should go home and chew on her bedroom carpet.

Queer is not normal. Why do you think they call it "queer," LOL!

You one of those Log Cabin Republicans.... Nope. or just a run-of-the-mill athiest? Nope, strike 2. I'm just not a fundamentalist. I save some room for reason and judgement. Either way....that school of thought is NOT what I care to be associated with Which school of thought would that be? Common sense?
I take it then that you consider yourself a Christian, Bones? If so, do you believe that a man called Jesus died, and then came to life three days later? Does that fit the "school of common sense" of which you speak?

No Romans 1 doen't say anything about what Jesus would do, you need to read verse 32, it tells you what these people not just gays, are due. Even those who have pleasure in them that do them [the acts described in the first chapter of Romans.

"Children of the devil"? Come on now, that redlines the BS meter.
When Ronald Reagan called the Soviet Union an "Evil Empire," they served him up with the same kind of effeminate, clap-trap outrage.
The simple fact is that homosexuality--unrestrained, socially approved, and curriculum sanctioned--represents one of the greatest spiritual and economic drains on our culture. I can't imagine you enjoy paying for AIDS funding, or can I imagine you would enjoy seeing a church forced to hire a homosexual organist, just to please the left's version of social engineering. It's time to demonize them--because that is in fact what they are. They want your children. They are active recruiters for their depravity, and it's time to call them what they are--enemies.

As a heterosexual man, with a long time marriage to wonderful woman I always wonder why people are so afraid of gays when they do not affect your life at all. Comments such as "Conservatives should remember it very clearly: unrepentant homosexuals are children of the devil" are indicative of someone who hates anyone who is not a clone of themselves and speaks as a Neanderthal. You are to be pitied for your open ignorance! Yeah, "children of the devil" is amazingly harsh. People who make such vicious comments might do well to actually meet, talk and get to know some gay people. It's amazing what can happen when you actually meet the people you think you hate.
I watched a tragically sick uncle die of AIDS and gay related disease. You don't play with dung and get away unscathed. It is a sickening, disgusting, deplorable, abominable lifestyle that deserves all the hatred the Lord reserved for it in scripture. Two thousand years of western history do not lie, however "nice" the corner homosexual may appear. He is allowing himself to wallow in dung, literally.

I hate to tell you, but homosexuals don't get special treatment here and there are no goofy rights groups (that have any power) protecting them. It's also OK to make fun of them on TV and radio and at work.

Note that Paul's passage of depravity doesn't end with homosexual conduct, that is only a whistle stop on the way. It ends with sins with which you, I, and every mortal who ever lived were stained.
To: farmer18th
That's a different passage, referring to rebels who were put out of the church to learn what serving the devil meant, so that they might repent later.
To: Ca_Green
This girl was in no way hurting the other students
Setting an example of utter depravity doesn't harm the other students? What if she had expressed racism or a fondness for Islamic terrorism? Collective, social disapproval is only reserved--in your book--for people who drive SUVs? Is that it?

The critical difference, as I'm sure you know, is that there are very few curriculum supplements touting "wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness, envy, or murder" as life patterns we should be merely reconciled to. Should two murderers be celebrated at the prom? Should we have a "Covet Queen?"
You need to dig a little deeper.
To: farmer18th
Consider that Jesus classed an angry thought at your brother to be tantamount to murder, perhaps some mirror looking is in order.
To: HiTech RedNeck
The delivering to Satan occured after a particularly gross sexual sin. The question here is whether I am justified in calling sodomites "children of the devil." The pattern of Scripture is clear here. In their unrepentant state, that's exactly what they are.
To: HiTech RedNeck
The scripture reads "angry at his brother without a cause." Jesus was quite angry at the money changers and he threw them out of the table. Do you have a problem with the Lord's anger?
To: farmer18th
And so it be, but notice that in 1 Cor 5:1 that this incest is classed as worse than those "named among the Gentiles." Homosexuality was definitely "named among the Gentiles." This classification of incest is surprising if homosexual conduct were the next worst thing to the unforgivable sin.
