Rice gave her most detailed explanation of a 'mildly pro-choice' stance on abortion, she would not want the government 'forcing its views' on abortion... She explained that she is libertarian on the issue, adding: 'I have been concerned about a government role'... >>>

So is Colon Powell, that's why I would never vote for the pro-abortion republicans, I don't care who they are. Powell and Rice are social liberals...I like the way ms. rice uses the lame excuse that she's libertarian...Seems abortion is the only subject about which she is libertarian,,,my how convenient and full of it...

She should go back to playing the piano and teaching in a nice liberal college.

If the government didn't make it's views known on abortion, it's quite possible folks like Paul Hill could do what they wished without penalty.

That would eliminate abortion machschnell!

Full privatization of the whole business of abortion might well open up many opportunities to destroy it. So far no one has tried that although Roe v. Wade did not prohibit it!

You know....this entire agenda should never have gotten this far.

It was the left that pushed it here.

There should never have been a gov ruling on abortion.

It shouldn't be all or none.

I know what Condi is waffling on here. AND she isn't waffling for politics.

She is being a woman and she shouldn't have to explain herself.

This whole thing really sucks and it is the left wing agenda that made it suck.

don't toss Condi out. She won't run. She never intended on running. But don't judge her for not saying Federal ban on abortions.

I think you're far too harsh. She wants the Federal government out of abortion. I'll bet that she wouldn't want the Feds to decide on capital punishment, either.

From what I've seen, she is thoughtful and careful about words and how she uses words. When I read the quotes in this article from my point of view, they are pro-life statements.

Currently, the Feds are interfering in every aspect of "choice," as is State and more local governments and services. We are each forced to subsidize abortion.

That should be our new battle cry ( and would go with the proposition to encourage Congress to restrict the courts from all abortion cases):

"Get the feds out of abortion!"

Listen, I was of the same mind set as Ms. Rice, just about 5 years ago. Don't give up on her, yet!

She says that she prays all the time. She says that her faith is very important to her. If she is listening to God, He will steer her in the right direction.

Like I did, she sees late term abortions as wrong, she sees parental consent as important...if she continues to inform herself, she can not help but finally come to the same conclusion that I did; that all abortion is a horrific crime--on the woman and her children.

Pray. Never stop.
