Rice pointedly declined to rule out running for president in 2008 on Friday during an hour-long interview with reporters at WASHINGTON TIMES, top sources tell DRUDGE. Rice gave her most detailed explanation of a 'mildly pro-choice' stance on abortion, she would not want the government 'forcing its views' on abortion... She explained that she is libertarian on the issue, adding: 'I have been concerned about a government role'... Developing late Friday for Saturday cycles... MORE...
I've seen McCain in person a few times during the debates. When the cameras are off him, it is obvious the man suffers from serious mental health problems.
I'm not berating him. Anyone who went through what he went through wuold probably suffer similar problems. But he doesn't have the mental stability to handle the presidency.
lol
If the court reflects President Bushes views and White, Kennedy, O'Connor,Bryer, and Bader Ginsberg retire, I believe it is probable that this issue will go back to the states where it belongs. However if the Supreme Court does what it did in the 1857 case of Dred Scott v. Sandford. Once that case was reversed and blacks were recognized to have all rights guaranteed by the constitution, then stare decisis which predated that supreme court ruling was inverted. The fight will then go to the states. It will essentially reflect the red states and blue states status on this issue, in my opinion.
I agree with that actually, but that is not widely perceived. What was perceived is what I commented on, and in a longer race, those qualities would be perceived increasingly.
Sorry about your mom.
>>>And yes, you're a liberal. Who do you think you're fooling?
Well I'll be, I didn't realize they gave the job of defining conservatives to Eternal Vigilance!
If you know what that is, you're a good guy!
It that implication were true, then there would be no abortions in this country and we would not be having this debate. The fact is, that many (too many) women would rather put their figure, their career, or their convenience before the life of their (unborn) child.
I agree with what you wrote; just wanted to get the other situation out there in the public domain. LOL
I know ;)
As someone who has gone through quite a bit in three pregnancies, including bed rest, medication that made me physically ill and extended hospitalization, saying a woman can just have the baby and put it up for adoption is a bit of a stretch. Carrying a child to term is not always an easy task. Labor and delivery of a child of rape would be emotionally devistating to many women. It may be an innocent child, but the violence would remain seared into her body and soul.
I'm sorry if you tie your hero worship to someone who advocates murder. Evil is everywhere, You claim in the White house, and I claim right here.
Why don;t you forget trying to tie me to the President and focus on yourself? If you support murder for babies, you are evil and can go to hell. We don't need to talk about the President as if he is something special. Cut to the chase, it's you who is evil.
Hmm, is that like almost pregnant?
I never thought about her race, but I do worry about her being single. Mostly because I think the public attention and the press would/will make her miserable with their interest. Especially if she were to meet the right man.
I believe you are correct. This snippet was a trial balloon to see our response. I need more information from Condi to count her out yet. What exactly does that statement mean? We yet need more information.
That is a rather nasty post. Is that typical of you?
>>>That's nobody's business to have an opinion. Leave the poor woman alone! This is a matter between her and her doctor. My point all along is that "society" e.g., FR, has no business having an opinion about this woman's devastating problem. Anyone who offers an opinion in such a serious situation is just a busybody.>>>
Thank you. I agree wholeheartedly with you. Sadly though, there are some on this board who consider her a murderer if she chooses the painful (either way is a painful decision) decision to abort her child and attempt to save her life. Or worse, would rather her not have a CHOICE! Life is not an absolute and it's sad there are some here who are so simple minded they can't figure that out.
You're sounding increasingly nuts.
You called me a fascist, Democrat, murderer, etc. All because I believe in the three exception rule.
So I pointed out that President Bush also believes in that rule and you are calling him the same unChristian names.
That's all. Just wanted to make sure posters on this thread understood your position.
