I've seen McCain in person a few times during the debates. When the cameras are off him, it is obvious the man suffers from serious mental health problems.

I'm not berating him. Anyone who went through what he went through wuold probably suffer similar problems. But he doesn't have the mental stability to handle the presidency.

I agree with that actually, but that is not widely perceived. What was perceived is what I commented on, and in a longer race, those qualities would be perceived increasingly.

How so? I've never been a McCain fan, but, in evaluating the possible candidates who could beat Hillary Clinton, McCain is near the top of the list. If Owens of Colorado, or some other leading light is going to give it a go, they've got to start building an organization soon and making some headlines.

Rudy could do it, but he arouses negative far right passions with his abortion and gun stances.

I may be alone in this, but I don't think Condoleeza Rice has the fire in her belly to run for president. She's simply an unknown campaign quantity.
