I am listening to a reporter on an Atlanta radio station. She made the following statements. The guy was out on bond. The guy had been stopped two times earlier trying to smuggle "shanks" into this courtroom. I simply don't get it! How can a person on bond be still running around loose after attempting to smuggle knives into the courtroom?

You can thank John Edwards and his ilk.

This story is an (unfunny) comedy of errors arising from numerous security lapses, with political-correctness at the root of all of them. It is the elephant in the room, woven through every aspect of this.

Unconfirmed, of course, but it sure sounds like this guy should have already been serving a life sentence and that three people would still be alive now.

On a positive note, New Jersey had a very serious problem with car thefts and carjackings back around 10-15 years ago. I knew the tide had turned when I was sitting on a train one day and overheard a fellow passenger (a black man) tell his friend that "this sh!t will only come to an end when they start lynching these thugs."
