Did you know that the judge in this case -Roland Barnes- just last month gave 3 years probation to Dany Heatle -the Canadian Hockey player who had joined the Atlanta Thrashers- for killing his friend and teammate Dan Snyder in a car accident? Yep, no jail time, just probation plus 150 speeches (50 per year) about the dangers of driving too fast. He can keep on playing in the NHL but no more Ferraris and booze... just drive an ordinary car, which doesn't exceed 70 mph.

No, I don't think the guy who killed him was mad about that, but since you're a hockey fan, I thought I should bring it up.

Do you have an issue with that sentence? Sounds entirely appropriate to me.

Wow -- that's some amazing research, Victoria!

I knew the general details of the Heatley case, but I wasn't aware that Roland Barnes was the one who oversaw it.
