This is a breaking news situation.
A man entered a courtroom in the Fulton County Courthouse this morning and shot a Fulton County Sheriff's deputy, a clerk and a judge; there are reports from both WSB and WAGA, the judge is deceased.
The perp has carjacked multiple vehicles -- now on his third -- and is still at large.
I've just come from downtown Atlanta, and the city is a madhouse.

"I though PA cops were keystone cops."LOL!
Well, the FBI is on this. They got Dillinger. And Kaczynski. So they'll probably get Nichols.
Thanks for alerting me to the press conference.

"With no report of another carjacking, this means that the car owner is more than likely a hostage."Or dead.

"...said an attack was bound to happen because of a shortage of courtroom deputies."A shortage? The same article says Barnes brought extra security into the courtroom. Gotta wonder why that extra security wasn't assigned to the prisoner.

Perps lawyer said the beefed up security consisted of one additional (female) deputy.

Boy! For a shortage they sure had plenty of them standing around yesterday! I rarely saw a shot where there weren't 4 or 5 deputies bunched together consoling each other while this guy probably walked right past them!!!

ATLANTA The judge who was slain along with two other court workers yesterday had asked for extra security after the shooting suspect had signaled his violent intentions two days earlier. GODDAMMIT!!!

Oh, that's a great poster Thanks. :^)
..... if you ever read up on lynchings, Texas was number 3, so hey, with legal executions they are number one! Ever wonder why they need 'em Podner?
Huh? Are you a Troll or something?
Well, I'll assume you're not and reply to that.
When was the last lynching here in Texas that YOU know of?
The last one that I can recall was in June, 1998, when James Byrd was murdered when some idiots in Jasper, Texas tied a rope around his neck and onto their pickup truck and hit the gas. It was a horrible death. Two of the three involved are on Texas Death Row now, and rightly so. The third sits in a Texas Prison, serving out his Life sentence.
We are a country made up of laws, and penalties for those that break them. Murder is against the law, and in Texas (and other states), we have the death penalty for the most heinous of those (capital murder). UNLIKE some states, Texas carries out the death penalty. The death penalty is a deterrent to heinous crimes. There is a zero recidivism rate for those whose sentences are carried out.
So if you're gonna murder somebody, and DON'T want to get the death penalty (carried out), do it in California or some other state where they are hardly (if at all) carried out or where they don't even HAVE a death penalty.

This animal was in a cell changing his clothing so he could walk into the courtroom. Since he was well over 200 pounds and she was 5 ft. tall 51 yr. old woman, there was the possibility of him overpowering her on the skywalk towards the courtroom.
He took his opportunity before they began their walk.
In private, without pesky witnesses who might interfere...

I sure hope this is the end of this. This guy has shown to be really clever and has no problems with killing.
