This is a breaking news situation.
A man entered a courtroom in the Fulton County Courthouse this morning and shot a Fulton County Sheriff's deputy, a clerk and a judge; there are reports from both WSB and WAGA, the judge is deceased.
The perp has carjacked multiple vehicles -- now on his third -- and is still at large.
I've just come from downtown Atlanta, and the city is a madhouse.
It's funny you wrote that, I had been thinking exactly that. My biggest fear has always been that would happen to one of my boys, granted they are only 7 and 4. My fear is that they wouldn't be.... street smart isn't really the right word but in a way, street smart as to certain things in life.
apparently the radio descriptions have been: male, black, medium complexion, etc...
good.
ethnicity is the second most valuable piece of information after gender, without which the "complexion" data is meaningless.
Looks like you are likely correct. I just heard on the news that the authorities are now reconsidering what happened and they now furthered the same theory you did.
She was allegedly in the room to remove his cuffs so he could dress.
She wasn't in the room while he was changing as he got her and shot her prior to that or after.
Where did you hear she was in his cell while he was changing.
I am praying for her and all the families. The court reporter was divorced and her daughter is in college. How sad for the child.
In the small towns around here we all are....or you are at least related to a cousin. No "if" about it!
Since my respect for the Men in Black has gone out the window, I want to know more about the rulings of this judge....
I used to think that about my daughters. My husband used to say he worried about them innocently brushing by someone like this man, metaphorically brushing by. Like coming up next to evil in a totally unintentional way, just happenstance. Scary isn't it?
Since my respect for the Men in Black has gone out the window, I want to know more about the rulings of this judge....
But do yall compare family trees on public conveyances with rank strangers?
And do you all understand the difference between a first cousin, first cousin once removed and second cousin??? If you do , you have Louisiana roots, trust me on that.
From Atlanta he could be in Canada in around sixteen hours. No fear of extradition. He's facing capital charges.
Our strangers aren't rank....They're family members who just smell that way!

It doesn't matter if he was pink with blue pok-a-dots, they should have reported it as such right from the very beginning of his escape.

You can't put out a photo of a murder suspect until he is absolutely confirmed as such. Government in inherently slow and news organizations are extra wary of potential legal woes. Yes, it took way too long to get his image out there but, to everyone's credit, once his ID was established everyone ran with it.
Just damn damn damn. It is a real shame you can't sue each juror personally for extreme, irrational, unconscionable stupidity.
Very scary, it's strange but I hear stories like this and my first thought is go in and kiss their little heads... :) I'm divorced but I'll even call my ex if she has them (split custody) on a night like this and tell, "just go in and give the boys a kiss for me..." I'm sure she thinks it's weird but.......well who the hell knows, maybe that's why we're divorced.. :)
You can marry your second cousin, did you know that? It is important in places like Louisiana as alot of people are your second or third cousin, once or twice removed.
I myself would only marry a third cousin, that is if I didn't have a servicable current husband who is unrelated, I think.
"who is unrelated, I think."
LOL! I like the "i think" part...
I know, having an urge to call my daughters. You worry so about their world colliding with a world of this mans.
Like you walk in the courthouse to pay a traffic fine or meet a friend and bang, you are gone.
That's true...with FREE healthcare to boot!
Plus, a 'medium-black' man fleeing Atlanta would have an understandable inclination to head North.
