This is a breaking news situation.
A man entered a courtroom in the Fulton County Courthouse this morning and shot a Fulton County Sheriff's deputy, a clerk and a judge; there are reports from both WSB and WAGA, the judge is deceased.
The perp has carjacked multiple vehicles -- now on his third -- and is still at large.
I've just come from downtown Atlanta, and the city is a madhouse.
I remember my first Mardi Gras...1965...5 of us drove down from school.NYU...what a blast...I rememer as we're leaving NO the day after, we're tuning the radio, the NO police chief is being interviewed...never forget his coment..somethign like.."It was a pretty good Mardi Gras....only 7 people got killed.."
The case can be made that the female officer was actually IN on it...that's why she survived.
The guy was sharp, computer-savvy MIS with UPS, being framed by some neighbor or relative for something he NEVER did. He's caught up in the Georgia (Cool Hand Luke) corrupt criminal justice system & Good 'Ole Boys network. His livlihood destroyed, HIS life ruined.
The game is rigged for the political advancement of the female ADA, career-climber. Everybody knows it. The Judge knows it. The female guard knows it & helps him set this thing in motion...She sympathizes with his plight...

I have a feeling he is a gonner he has nothing to lose except his life and he knows either he will kill himself or he will have the cops do the deed instead.
I was living in NO in 1965 and went to that Carnival. I was in a huge crush of people in the quarter and a policeman put his arm on my face pushing me back. I bit him and didn't get arrested. He said "lady, why did you have to do that, that hurt"

The city of Atlanta is all about pecking-order patronage. That's from top to bottom. Nothing's going to change there. Wait and see. Oh, there will be some new window-dressing and maybe even a commissioned "study." But don't think for one minute that the concept of personal responsibility and personal merit is going to be reinstated.
I just finished dinner and was wrapping some leftovers in tin foil.

It's not the race issue, it's the sex issue - whether women should be allowed to be EMTs or jailers. Go back up the thread and you'll see people complaining about watching a woman EMT unable to load a stretcher-borne patient into an ambulance alone, and of course the whole thing started with the big bad criminal disarming the allegedly woman jailer.
Gotta a lot of complaints, too, about defendants not being routinely trussed up and rolled into court on dollys...

I am merely commenting on the lack of common sense and the political correctness that created the WINDOW OF OPPORTUNITY for this animal (liberals might say I'm being racist by calling this guy an animal, but again, I am JUST TELLING IT LIKE IT IS) to attack and murder with impunity.
By the way, this guy WAS in custody, and was being transported by ONE LONE FEMALE (as "luck" would have it, the only one who survived the incident) to the holding area outside the courtroom. I'm sure she is in shock, and probably blames herself for the tragedy, but again, it is her superiors, and the liberal, politically-correct mindset they subscribe to, that is the real culprit here.

No I agree a woman cannot physically handle the job, however even 1 large male would not have been enough for this defendant. It needed to be 2. That is what I meant.
Watching Nancy Grace, now I hope that she is able to hold on for the hour. As they went out for commercial she just dropped her head. I guess her heart is breaking again tonight.
