Fulton Co. Judge shot and killed in courthouse shooting (BREAKING Fri 9A)

This is a breaking news situation.
A man entered a courtroom in the Fulton County Courthouse this morning and shot a Fulton County Sheriff's deputy, a clerk and a judge; there are reports from both WSB and WAGA, the judge is deceased.
The perp has carjacked multiple vehicles -- now on his third -- and is still at large.
I've just come from downtown Atlanta, and the city is a madhouse.

Thanks for the report; CNN saying deputy who lost her weapon in the courtroom is expected to be okay. Apparently it wasn't in the courtroom, rather at the holding cell. Perp then walked to the courtroom, some distance requiring 1-2 minutes, then shot the judge and the court reporter. (From WXIA

Sorry can't watch that show. Same reason I don't watch Hannity & Colmes. Can't stand little ronnie, can't stand Colmes. Love Monica and Sean though!

You know, that was one of my first thoughts: The chickens have come home to roost. Decisions made by idiot liberal judges have finally started to affect their own numbers, not just "we the people".
"Defendants" aren't brought into court in manacles and leg irons because it would "prejudice" the jury. A single female deputy is sent to escort this sub-human to court because its PC. (I would hate to think my (a female) desire for "equality" caused the deaths of three people!)

Don't stand your ground - run like hell.
Dodge from side to side and head for any cover you can see. Then run for the busiest area you can find.

On the other hand, Ron Reagan still makes my skin crawl. Just not as bad as a couple of months ago. Yes, and I find it totally unfair (as a woman) that this is the male figure they give me.

The .40 "Short and Weak", as I referred to it, is exactly as I described it. An inferior round compared to the larger 10mm. That's not always correct. Hitting the target is the first priority (which is one reason I like the .44 Special). The ability to hit the target repeatedly is also a plus. And generating a 'through-and-through' wound (which your 10mm is more likely to do) might not be as 'optimal' as dumping the entire energy load of a .40S&W in the same target. YMMV, FWIW, etc., etc...

I had heard the same today, regarding the look of the deputies, from another friend who had been down to the courthouse recently.

A middle aged woman.
Remember the first Menendez brothers trial. The six women wanted to acquit them....just couldn't believe they shot and killed their mother. Never mind that one admitted on the stand that he reloaded and shot his mother in the face.

WHY was there only one deputy on duty at the holding cell?
And that deputy a small female?
This makes absolutely no sense.
(Paul Howard's P.C. response is idiotic - if they're running the courthouse the way Howard thinks, no wonder there's trouble.)

Going into the trunk would have taken him to crime scene #2, which many people here in FR don't comprehend. Most people do not survive crime scene #2.

I'm no lawyer, but if he was out on bail shouldn't his bail have been revoked when he was caught with that shank? Apparently Fox news had the story slightly wrong. He was not out on bail.

Nice overexaggeration.
See my 2672.
PC is nonsense, and it's part of the equation with these events.

I would say temporary hostages would be most likely, and if he's willing to take them out as he goes, there could more dead bodies anywhere between Atlanta and Chattanooga by tomorrow morning, bodies that might not be found right away.
I guess what surprises me is that he did not shoot the news guy who was running away...was he saving bullets...or out of them? A different scenario from my jadded view - Mr. Reporter took off without incident and then made up the story that the guy wanted him in the trunk.
Regardless, this guy is deadly... it will be very hard to stay out of sight...

I can't take H or C or O'Reilly. I seem to end up on MSNBC during wall-to-wall coverage of events such as these.
