This is a breaking news situation.
A man entered a courtroom in the Fulton County Courthouse this morning and shot a Fulton County Sheriff's deputy, a clerk and a judge; there are reports from both WSB and WAGA, the judge is deceased.
The perp has carjacked multiple vehicles -- now on his third -- and is still at large.
I've just come from downtown Atlanta, and the city is a madhouse.
I have so far been unable to get the full text of the NFA in any readable layout - what I have found is a mess of provisos, addenda, quidproquos... lotsa references but no full consecutive text... beginning to wonder if there ever really was such a thing as the NFA
So does he look pistol whipped. It occurred to me that this guy was fleeing. I think he hit him once and left. When one is fleeing, one doesn't have time for a "pistol whipping".
Is he all bruised and everything?
It looked to me like he had a bruise and/or cut over his left eye.
On threads like this, we always get people banned or suspended for such talk.

15 Stiches over the left eye and a broken wrist.
Breaking: Police converging on area near Georgia Tech, at least 20 cars blocking off neighbourhood. Not known if it's related.
Oh yeah- he looks plenty banged up on his face- apparently has a broken wrist too- the injuries on his face were from the pistol whip- the wrist is when he fell while running...
by tomrrow his bruises will be evident.....he said he thought maybe he wasn't shot was because the perp was out of bullets....
WXIA: New info from another judge, Nichols walked out of the area where he was being held, across a hallway, entered the judge's chambers, handcuffed an officer in the chambers, then entered the courtroom where he opened fire.

So far, in 2 hours of watching WXIA, they have had numerous instances where people have lamented the situation of keeping 'our judicial system' safe. They have all talked about new legislative action, more money being spent, etc.
No one, not one, has mentioned that perhaps it might not be wise to have 6 foot tall 200 pound (allegfed) rapists guarded by a single female officer.

New Info: Perp over-powered female deputy in the new tower, took gun and ammo, walked through a public hallway over a bridge, to the old tower to the judges chambers.
