(Admin Moderator -- please leave in Breaking News. Hannity holding up a FReeper sign is big breaking news after the recent little battle.)
===================================================
FReeper blurblogger just dropped me off a few minutes ago. We were at the 4-hour event in Redondo Beach, CA put on by the KABC talk show hosts.
When blurblogger gets home, he will be posting an amazing photo. He and I are in a picture with Sean Hannity, and Sean is holding up a sign that says I LOVE FREEPERS.
What a fun event. Doug McIntyre, Larry Elder, Al Rantel, Mr. KABC, Sean Hannity, and new overnight host Kevin James put on a great show for us. There were some sparks between McIntyre and Elder over free trade, outsourcing, and tariffs. There were also some sparks involving the lone liberal on the stage, Mr. KABC.
There were boos when DemocRATS were mentioned.
Although we disagree politically, I am going to give big kudos to the MC, Brian Whitman. Brian is indeed a lovable liberal. He was a little upset a few weeks ago when someone reported to him that I had called him a Kneepad Knight. Hey, it was in good fun. Just like Monica was literally on her kneepads, the liberals were figuratively doing the same for their guy. Brian accepted my explanation, and we are friends again.
For those who listen to Hannity on Friday afternoon, it is Brian Whitman doing the voices of Bush 41, Bush 43, Michael Jackson, and the guy who got impeached. Brian is funny as hell and is a great talent. If more libs had his talent and sense of humor, perhaps we would get along better. His Michael Jackson stuff is superb.
Blurblogger brought some sign material in his car, and got it and his magic marker at a break. We managed to eventually work our way to a front row seat and were in position to get with Hannity at a break. I introduced myself as FReeper Doug, and he asked why I haven't called in for awhile. Hey, I've tried, but the line is always busy.
Sean autographed blurblogger's I LOVE FREEPERS sign, and a guy took our picture with Sean holding it.
Look, if someone comes on this thread to bash Hannity, I am going to find you and rip your throat out. Really. Go do your own thread. Yes, Sean promotes his books. Good for him. That's capitalism, and you would promote yours if you had a book and marketing sense. I promoted my book, A CHILD'S EYE VIEW OF JOHN KERRY, by giving a few copies to them.
Sean is a great ally on our side. He exposes the left's hypocrisy, uses their own words against them, and gets in their faces. He also has helped raise millions of dollars for families of fallen warriors.
Good news for us, uncleshag. Sean is waiting for his copy of YOU'VE BEEN FREEPED, Vol. 1. So is Whitman.
By far the biggest round of applause during the evening was for a member of the audience. Captain Michael Pierce is returning to Mosul on Friday. He thought he had a month off, but they cut it two weeks short. There was a big time standing O for the captain. At the end of the program, he was called up on stage. Michael happened to be at the Hollywood FReep recently. Godspeed, Michael. Go kick some more butt and make it home safely.
Did any other FReepers attend?
Stay tuned. The picture will probably be up by about midnight.
I Love Freepers! Way to go, Sean. LOL.
He has a pen between his fingers which may account for what you're implying. You ARE kidding, right?
You thought I was serious? HAHAHA AWESOME!!
You are kidding that you even have to ask if I'm kidding right?
Seriously, you were so articulate and forceful. I've always imagined that if I got on a radio program I would either become completely tongue-tied or mute.
You really did a great job of expressing what the vast majority of freepers are like, as opposed to the 'roilers' whose only purpose is to make trouble. Good work!
Um. No. I can't keep track of who loves him and who doesn't. ;)
Great photos -- thanks for sharing.
How the heck have you been, Angelwood?
It's funny. When I first started calling, I wrote out notes and was really nervous waiting for my turn. The more calls you make, the easier it gets.
Give us a report from San Diego.
Most of Sean's talk is what you hear on his show. He did make some dim come up on stage. A 22 year old who voted for kerry and didn't know why!! The young lad looked really foolish :)
Hannity talked about the border (always popular down here) and says he will do everything he can on the Mt. Soledad cross issue. That was good to hear.
He also warned us about hitlery running and not to let up. It was so much fun to be in that large room filled with REPUBLICANS! I wish had made a sign like yours. A great night!
We have to wear certain colors so we can identify ourselves at events. :) Brian Whitman is an incredible talent.
Aren't you that guy who's married to the really nice lady who quilts and knits? :)
WAY TO GO, Doug!!!!!!!
Great idea! I kept looking at everyone wondering if I've had conversations with them. ha ha
Brian Whitman....thanks. I'm terrible with names, so it seems. He was very good!
Ok! I forgive him! Nah, never was mad at him! LOL I love him and whis him and his family all the best! Great of him to sign that thing! Even better, he knows who FReepers ARE! WOO HOO! Great Pics!
Well, I don't "love" him. He's ok. But even for someone that hated him, they would have to be tinfoil paranoid to think that Sean would have done that.
I don't even know what exactly Sean said that got people so reved up. It sounds to me like when Rush put up that picture of the "typical FReeper" on his site. Some people took it the wrong way.
Sooooooo gay.
LOL. For those who hated Sean, they'd have to comment that he's not bright enough to pull off a subliminal commentary like that.....
Before I get a viking kittie post directed at me, calm down, blurblogger! I'm saying "those people." Not necessarilly me!!!!! LOL
