The Mexican government has asked U.S. officials to ensure illegal-immigration protesters patrolling the Arizona border next month do not abuse Mexican nationals caught illegally entering the United States. In a diplomatic note to U.S. officials, Geronimo Gutierrez, undersecretary for North American affairs at Mexico's Foreign Ministry, suggested it was "very probable" the protesters could violate the rights of illegal aliens, and that they must be monitored. "What there is concern about is that some of these actions that could be taken could be in violation of federal and state laws to the detriment of Mexican citizens," Mr. Gutierrez said. "Mexico doesn't want the rights of its citizens transgressed...

No. It's run by Vicente W. Bush. If U.S. sovereignty was more important to this president than cheap illegal immigrant labor, we wouldn't have this problem.
First we have to get rid of the oligarchy that makes puppets of their so called elected presidents and their system of bribery that has permeated all their institutions. If Mexico was located in the Middle East we would have invaded them first.
PING
DAMMIT. I heard Laura Ingraham talking about this on her show today. This whole immigration thing is without a doubt the most underrated topic of our day. Not enough people informed and not enough people talking about it.
Vincente Fox needs to be put in his place and fast. He seems like a decent fellow, compared to the thugs that have run Mexico for the past 80 years or so but this 'you WILL do this America' attitude has gone too far.
At least, that part of the army that isn't busy escorting drug shipments headed el norte.
I would gladly still patronize places like Wendy's if my #2 combo were $7.50 instead of $5.50 if only to support a young pencil neck geek instead of someone who may be an illegal. My wife thinks I'm prejudice...
Mr. Gutierrez said. "Mexico doesn't want the rights of its citizens transgressed...
In related news, MALDEF has filed a $32 Million lawsuit against Arizona rancher Roger Barnett and Cochise County Sheriff Larry Dever, alleging they abused 14 illegal immigrants on Barnett's property and that Dever did nothing about it.
Whose rights? When does the term ILLEGAL come into play?
Thank you for this insight. Do you have, readily available, any sites that bear on that subject?
The prevalency of corruption in Mexican culture could still result in their passing through paying "customers" from Nations or national groups who intend to bring us grief and harm.
I was just there. We have friends with a home there and visit often. Just talk to any taxi driver, they will unload on you their frustration on the illegal's in their country coming from other poorer countries.
I was there during the election last month and that was a huge political issue to stop illegal immegration. Ironic
I don't see this site supporting Bush on this issue. I think this site leans more toward Rush on this. It is freepers supporting the private citizens protecting the borders of Arizona.
The United States of America doesn't want its borders transgressed by Mexico's citizens, Mr. Gutierrez!
What exactly about 'stay on your side of the border' don't you understand?
Plain, in black and white -- the Mexican gov't believes Mexican citizens have a right to come to the U.S. illegally.
MALDEF's lawsuit basically asserts that the United States cannot prevent invasion because to do so would violate the "civil rights" of the invaders. They will almost certainly refer to UN resolutions on "migrants" to buttress this argument.
The fact that they picked out Barnett and Dever is just a detail to them. Essentially, they intend to use the courts of the United States to try and have the immigration laws of the United States declared null and void.
And in related news, isn't it wonderful to hear that Mexican senators are coming to Arizona to "review" the effect of a law passed by the citizens of an American state, and to try and "prevent" such laws in other American states? Twenty years ago I couldn't have imagined reading much less saying that. Maybe even ten years ago.
Maybe the citizens of Arizona could greet them with a welcoming committee and free one-way tickets back home. The same day.
The illegals have state given "civil rights", UN given "human rights", but they don't trump God given Constitutional rights.
Mexicans have zero rights until they enter the U.S...
And then, they should have ONE right.. "To be repatriated"..
All the while the ILLEGALS are on site, they case the area, then go back and steal whatever they can. Lumber, nails, large appliances, light fixtures...whatever.
Theft at home construction sites has NEVER been a major problem here before. Hopefully, the contractors will STOP hiring them.
You are obviously closer to the situation than most.
Mexico must repel those who are trying to get out.
. . . they are the "undocumented Border Patrol".
The Minutemen Program will be doing a 30 day Neighborhood Watch Program in Cochise County, Arizona.
And Americans mistakenly looked to our federales to protect us from the illegals from Mexico!
They wade across the river, climb the fence, murder, rape, steal and pillage!
Seal the borders, recall our ambassador and close our embassy in Mexico! Mexico is our enemy!
