The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

WASHINGTON - Prompted by new intelligence indicating Osama bin Laden reached out to the most feared terrorist in Iraq, President Bush charged Thursday that "al-Qaida still hopes to attack us on our own soil."

"Recently, we learned that Osama bin Laden has urged the terrorist Zarqawi to form a group to conduct attacks outside Iraq, including here in the United States," Bush said at the swearing-in of Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff.

The president vowed, "We're working every day and night to dismantle (bin Laden's) network and to bring him to justice."

I just purchased the Terrorist Recognition Handbook from amazon.com I think that it's important to find and post in the thread into a site similar to the nuclear blast maps, but instead applicable to CHEMICAL weapons. We're heading into high threat season for that nightmare. Trouble is I just can't seem to find the right site. Maybe a better web searcher than I has an idea?

I recently got the book myself, have been reading through it... good information, for the most part. I often wonder if we are setting ourselves up looking for the wrong things.

I'm going to be spending a good bit more time organizing what we have here in the coming weeks/months. My intense weather watching is about to wind down until Hurricane season. ;)

Skeggs, the name does ring a bell with me too. I'm just having a hard time trying to pinpoint the time frame when it was being discussed on here. However, it seems to me it might have been late summer/early fall last year when there was a lot more discussion about Russia on TM. Something to do with underground facilities/explosions etc.

Hopefully, some of the great minds on here will remember specifics and be able to help with this. You all are just the best at the way you can remember and research.

To all who have been ill, suffered losses,been down, etc., please know that when you all would post that even though I didn't respond on the thread, you were prayed for and are still being prayed for. I've not posted much because of ongoing therapy with my shoulder and being under the influence of medication.

So, to all, keep on doing what you are doing because we are fighting the good fight! You all ROCK!

You want something that shows the area affects of Chem weapons?

Yup. Should include effective downwind drift and differences in delivery systems like aersol versus a chemical landmine versus a chemical artillery shell. It's gonna be tough, but my best guess is that the easiest munition to obtain is going to be a plastic hulled pressure mine about the size and shape of a baseball "base" but thicker.

Another threat is the altered commercial fire extinguisher (one of the big industrial ones you might find in a factory that has it's own cassion (wheels). Something like that charged with GD SOMAN or GB SARIN or VX and sprayed from the top of a tall building downtown will be devastating. Also try to show rates of persistency by agent.

I have a vague memory that the word 'Severyna' was associated with a belly dancer! The word came up in jihadi messages, and the belly dancer link resulted from it being googled by TMers trying to decode it.

Could have been around the time frame when the Las Vegas hotels were being discussed here: also do you remember that website with all the pictures that was supposed to be a method of communication between the terrs?

Sorry it's so vague but a lot of water's been under the bridge since then. Hopefully it may trigger someone else's memory to pinpoint it even further.
