"Workers hurt in collapse at TI plant"
WFAA-TV
A helicopter ambulance takes off with an injured worker.
ARTICLE SNIPPET: "Five workers were hurt Friday morning when scaffolding collapsed at the new Texas Instruments wafer fabrication plant. The men were pouring concrete on the second floor of the administration building at the $3 billion facility at 300 West Renner Road when their wooden platform crashed down on a pile of twisted steel reinforcement rods. "They pretty much rode the structure down," said Richardson Fire Department Interim Chief Alan Palomba."
Thank you Freeper from nj.

Passenger at Salt Lake Airport Caught With Box Cutters

That is interesting.
Thank you Selene for the update.
(A suicide, huh?)
I agree- they want to take out our oil supplies and other assets such as forests, water supplies and the like. They have planned over the years to strike Saudi oil as well...
I don't think terrorism can be so easily ruled out at this point. I find it interesting that after the refinery explosion, there is the pipeline explosion contaminating water supplies in CA...
Thanks Velveeta for pointing to breaking news regarding an "explosion in Italy."

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "A manifesto broadcast on the Internet from the "Military Organization of the Middle East" stated that the recent attack was a new form of operation. The name of the organization was heard for the first time with another manifesto published on the Internet on Monday (March 21st), which claimed an attack with a bomb-loaded vehicle in the capital of Qatar, Doha, on March 19th.
Another manifesto published by the organization on the Internet on Tuesday (March 22) threatens the US, Great Britain and Italy with possible attacks against oil plants and military bases in the West and churches in the Middle East."

Terrorism: Al-Qa'ida of Jihad in the United States Claims Responsibility for Explosion at Texas Refinery
On 24 March, "Abd-al-Aziz al-Muqrin" posted to the Al-Ikhlas forum, his first participation, a statement issued by the al-Qa'ida of Jihad Organization in the United States of America [Tanzim Qa'idat al-Jihad fi al-Wilayat al-Mutahidah al-Amrikiyah] in which the group claimed responsibility for the explosion at the Texas oil refinery. The group promised to issue a more detailed statement and a videotape of the operation. The Saudi Al-Ikhlas forum at ekhlaas.com/forum is critical of the US and Saudi Government and dropped its password requirement in late December.
A translation of the statement follows:
"First statement regarding the blessed Texas refinery explosion
Praise be to God, the Subjugator of un-belief and polytheism at the hands of his fierce soldiers, the Supporter of His blessed soldiers against his and their failing enemies, and prayers and peace be upon the most honorable of all mankind, our Prophet, the guide [to the straight path], the chosen and trustworthy one, and upon all of his family and companions, and those followed them until the Day of Judgment.
Here are the lions of war striking America on its own soil and at the hands of its own sons in the middle of its soldiers and intelligence despite security barriers never before seen since her creation. The leader Abu-Hamzah has acted upon his promise and covenant according to which he had sworn to turn your streets red with blood by God's help.
This has been and continues to be the only way to rub the nose of the most powerful country in the world in the dirt. Just as you attack our security and spill our blood everywhere the monotheists are found, we will meet you with the same; an eye for an eye works. A more detailed statement will be issued with a video tape of the blessed operation in the main refinery in Texas.
We wish to remind you that we are going to release some hostages who had almost discovered some of the issues related to the operation. The execution of [the operation] was delayed for this reason, until the security barrier completion reached 98 percent for a successful execution. Praise and thanks be to God first and foremost.

"Easter fireworks cause fatal Naples scooter blast"
25 Mar 2005 18:57:22 GMT
Source: Reuters
ARTICLE SNIPPET: "NAPLES, March 25 (Reuters) - One person was killed and several others were injured in an explosion in the southern Italian city of Naples on Friday, apparently caused by fireworks being carried by two people on a motor scooter.
Dismissing initial fears that the explosion might have been a car bomb in a city racked by gangland violence, police said the man driving the scooter appeared to have crashed into a parked car."

"Ex-Detroit Metro screener charged with hiding bin Laden sympathy"
ARTICLE SNIPPET: "He was discharged from the Air Force for pro-Osama statements. Then he tried to get a job as...an airport screener. But of course, what he said was taken out of context. From AP, with thanks to Jeffrey Imm:
DETROIT (AP) A Yemeni immigrant who was discharged from the U.S. Air Force after expressing sympathy for Osama bin Laden following the Sept. 11 attacks faces trial next week on accusations of lying to land a job as an airport screener.
Sadeq Naji Ahmed, 25, of Dearborn faces up to 5 years in prison and a $250,000 fine if convicted of making false statements on a questionnaire to get a job with the Transportation Security Administration at Detroit Metropolitan Airport.
"This is a case of vast government overkill," defense lawyer William Swor said Thursday after U.S. District Judge Bernard Friedman declined to dismiss the indictment. "My client is an absolutely loyal American.""
Oh good, thanks for the update.
