Once they attach a penis, she'll be able to parallel park, ride a motorcycle, and do all kinds of manly things.

"...brain of a boy." ........... How do they know what is in her brain? Did a CAT scan show something??
To: MamaLucci
I learned earlier on this thread that his/her parents suck. I think that means she has two daddies.

Go look up 'intersex' and 'transgender' on the internet, this is not a cut and dry issue.
It's as cut and dry as the difference between X and Y (chromosome that is). Every cell in her body has female chromosomes. Adding a bionic penis will not change that fact.

I wanna know what bathroom/locker room it will use.

Also, there are transgender people who say they knew they felt wrong about themselves when they were four years old.
A psychological issue, not an anatomical one.

Didn't a Harvard prof recently get a teeth-gnashing liberal war-cry for daring to say that men and women have different brains? And yet now they say that one brain can be male and another female... ie that they are fundamentally different?

Yes I think retesting would be necessary. As to how often, how about just having teacher's monitor the class? Retesting could be required whenever
A. a boy is heard to describe anything as " cute"
B. a boy suddenly decides to forego an activity cause
he " might get hurt"
C. a girl stands up to go to the bathroom AND NO OTHER
GIRL HAS TO GO WITH HER.
D. a girl spends more than 3 minutes listening to the
boys talks and DOES NOT ROLL HER EYES AT ALL.

I agree with you that conservatism is more logical than emotional -- but it
seems that your assumption is that we can't have a valid opinion unless it coincides with yours, simply because you've "discovered something" scientifically (you've been "enlightened").
We are all biased -- we all view things from some point of view. It can either be man-centered or G-d centered, or maybe a mixture of religion and man-centeredness. I view science (and news) through the lens of Scripture, and I make no apologies for that. I'm rational, but not rationalistic.
Maybe some here are reacting emotionally, but it's only because they've already made up their minds as to what the truth is.
I agree with you, religion and truth are not always together; but G-d is the very embodiment of truth. You might disagree, and that's okay -- I respect your opinions and I care about them.
Getting back to the article, where are you on this issue? Are you undecided, in favor of the "change" or against the "change"?

When I was a kid I begged my parents not to move us to another town. They wanted to move to a bigger house, etc., but I was so afraid of the change that I threw a hissy fit and my parents gave in and let me have my way.
As an adult, my only question to them was, "Why did you listen to me?"
To: cwiz24
An important question, which may or may not have been answered on the thread (only read the first page of comments):
Are the parents of this unfortunate child a man and a woman? Two women? Two men? Is this their biological child?
After all, this is Massachusetts, so one wonders.
