He claims he is innocent but the FBI is also looking for an accomplice.

No. Just heard it on the local news. They were very brief with details. Strange how long it took the authorities to check the bank records.

They had the records. They had photos that were taken by cameras at the ATM. They were just looking for the guy.

"FBI pick up a former tenant of the home."
Troubled relative with drug history, my guess.

Possibly they have been checking all along, and the card was just used for the first time?

Well .. if the guy just used the card - I'd say the bank was watching the account. Don't be blaming the police - it's the bank who would have to keep track of the account.
And .. I believe the bank was checking the account primarily because the card was not found in the home.

From the first story, January 14
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1321136/posts
"...WNBC-TV in New York reported authorities were investigating whether a former tenant, who had had a dispute with the family, was involved."
Doesn't jibe with the "must of been a Muslim" flames and rants so got lost in the noise.

Doesn't jibe with the "must of been a Muslim" flames and rants so got lost in the noise. So true.... It points out the fundamental problem with bigotry: it makes people blind to possible (and likely) answers. Chief Moose was guilty of it, and so (it seems) were our local ranters.

Well, it doesn't yet exclude the following possibilities --
- that the tenant was muslim,
- that the tenant wasn't muslim but had muslim "friends" who passed the credit card to him in payment for the house key,
- that the tenant was part of a conspiracy and pocketed the credit card during the assassinations.

My guess would be one from the old country. I guessed beofre that it was a crazy male relative or drug fueled. I didn't catch the tenant reference before, but that could jibe. Or it wasn't a relative but maybe a man from the old country.
