Rather party
Atlanta-based author, pundit and media consultant Phil Kent, former president of the Southeastern Legal Foundation, tells this column that he's hosting a party on the evening of March 9 in the Buckhead section of the city to honor popular Internet blogger "Buckhead" otherwise known as prominent Atlanta lawyer Harry MacDougald.
"Harry is the bathrobe-clad guy literally who 'outed' Dan Rather and CBS less than four hours after they broke the phony Bush National Guard papers" story, Mr. Kent says. Mr. Rather, who will relinquish his anchor chair after 24 years next week, is accused by conservative critics of being motivated by politics in developing the now infamous and discredited segment on President Bush's Guard service.
"We'll be watching Dan Rather's last broadcast," Mr. Kent says of his party, "and I'll present Buckhead a framed certificate for 'going above and beyond his patriotic duty.' "

("We're not worthy, we're not worthy, we're not worthy.")
Finally, buckhead is getting recognition......other than total adulation from FReepers, that is.
As for buckhead's bathrobe, I think it should be carefully preserved and donated to the media museum in Washington for permanent display.
where is the source for this?
:)
Way to go Buckhead!!!!

From Paces Ferry Road, here's to you, Buckhead!
Mr. Rather, who will relinquish his anchor chair after 24 years next week...
Can't wait!
do a Google on Editor and Publisher...believe Phil Kent was the former lead editorial writer for the Augusta (Georgia) paper (Chronicle?) and was dismissed by publisher for some sort of violation involving Buchanan...of course, I might be mistaken as I don't have concrete facts; that's why I formed posting as a question.
might be thinking of someone else, if so, please accept apology...
Blathers final show. "YES" !!!!!
Bravo Zulu!!
"Rather nice scalp on your lodgepole, Mr. Buckhead."
I believe that someone indicated that Buckhead was in the group of Republicans that stormed the Miami-Dade elections office in 2000 and prevented the Democrats from moving the punchcard ballots to an area that could not be observed.....therefore denying them the opportunity to manufacture enough votes to win. If this is correct, Buckhead has been instrumental in our winning the last two presidential elections.....quite an honor, indeed.
'twould be nice to read his book, if he writes one.
Congratulations, Buckhead :-)
Thank You so much, Buckhead.
I was not involved in anything in Florida.
There should be a "Buckhead" postage stamp in the works. Buckhead and FR have become a part of history due to the exemplary work of one man who refused to swallow a load of horse****.
