Didn't Curt Schilling campaign for Dubya?
Yes, he did.
Two winners, and conservatives to boot!
"So, like, what took you so long?" Bush asked, eliciting huge laughter from the crowd. "I'm proud to be joined by the vice president. He's a Chicago Cubs fan. So, like, he knows what you've been through."
Bush, a former owner of the Texas Rangers, repeatedly praised a Boston team whose World Series victory seemed to touch a nerve in baseball fans everywhere. It ended the supposed Curse of the Bambino and delighted Red Sox supporters the world over.
"I love the way this team played, and so do baseball fans," Bush said. "I mean, this is a team that won eight games in a row when it wasn't supposed to. It's kind of courage -- and a couple of stitches. You answered 86 years of prayers. That's an amazing feat, isn't it? I mean, when the Red Sox won, people all over the world cheered. They cheered in New England, and they cheered in Baghdad, Iraq."
Didn't that avid Red Sox fan, John Kerry say his favorite Red Sox player last year was " Manny Ortiz?" Did Manny Ortiz show up for the celebration?
Where is Curt's copy of Advanced Squad Leader for the President!?!?!?!?!?!? He should give the President a set.
"To answer your question, Mr. President, Alex Rodriguez is a jerk who claims to be a New Yorker but has never lived there before. He cheats to win, and changed his position as soon as he arrived in New York. You're lucky you've never had to deal with anyone like that."
Ping!
A-Rod is Dominican by way of Flori-duh.
No personal opinion on A-rod. I know the Red Sox don't like him much, however.
And didn't Eddie Yost come, either? That was another of Kerry's favorites, I believe. A real impact player.

who never played for the Red Sox. Kerry is quite a sophisticated fan, isn't he? I.m sure he knows all the hall of fame snow boarders and skiiers.
BTW, John Kerry showed up late to this ceremony in his home state's capital.
He must have been occupied with Teresa.
Thanks for the ping!
I saw the film clip of this on Fox I think...just the back of Kerry, but he had his "barn coat" on....the yellow thing he wore during the end of the campaign. ick.
