vh-1/viacom ^ | 3-02-05

What is the most awesomely bad love song ever? The one that makes you cringe when you hear it, but you just can't turn it off. What love song makes you shake your head, roll your eyes, laugh, gag, shed a tear, or just punch something because it's so horrendously great that you love to hate it. Or is it vice versa? VH1 is counting down the 40 Most Awesomely Bad Love Songs....The kind of songs that might end a relationship rather than enhance it. You get the drift.

Join us as we count down and celebrate fantastically cheesy lyrics, the best and worst metaphors, awkward and confusing themes, and of course, those strange, misguided flukes from our favorite artists, while our team of experts help explain why we've deemed these songs so (un)worthy. We've been covering our ears, shutting off the radio, and running from the room screaming for too long. It's time to ban these songs to our awesomely bad Hall of F(Sh)ame!

I went as far as 200+ posts and "The Pina Colada" didn't jump out in any of the posts...ugh/barf.

"Midnight At The Oasis" (Maria Mulldar) (?)...heave/barf.

Thought music would never survive the early to mid-70's. I lived in FL at that time and a local radio station would pull out a barfy song every day and run the "record" over with a lawn mower. It was great.

It's just a song about camels and cactus, right?

A "Hee Haw" fan?

I forgot the titles, but Barbra Streisand had some truly awful ones that caused me to switch channels.

That's "Picture" by Kid Rock and everyone's favorite Sheryl Crow.

If you like Harry Connick Jr, try Michael Buble'. Log onto http://launch.yahoo.com and search for videos by Michael Buble'. He has three on there that aren't terribly bad.

"Reunited" by ....I forget who. Help me out folks.

That would be Peaches and Herb. Both your favorite worst song and one of the silliest names for a duo.

Absolutely "Muskrat Love" is my nominee for worst. I believe it hit Billboard #6 for the year 1976. That is just a statement of Toni Tennille's ability to deliver a song.
