CHICAGO (AP) -- Authorities found two bodies at the home of a federal judge Monday night, and Chicago police and the FBI were investigating.The bodies were found at the home of U.S. District Judge Joan Humphrey Lefkow, but the judge was uninjured, police spokesman Patrick Camden said.
He declined to elaborate.
FBI agents were assisting police but would provide no details.
"...The jury found Hale, 32, had solicited his security chief, Anthony Evola, to kill Lefkow because she had ruled against his organization, the former World Church of the Creator, in a trademark infringement lawsuit. But the jurors acquitted Hale of charges alleging he solicited Jon Fox, a former member of the World Church, to kill Lefkow."
Here's the relevant info. Evola was a fed, not a follower.
"Are we gonna exterminate the rat?" Evola can be heard asking Hale, who responds a short time later: "I'm going to fight within the law and, but, ... if you wish to, ah, do anything, yourself, you can."
Don't think so. That should be as simple as looks like a duck and quacks, but I'm sure early into the thread we'd find out Episcopalians aren't Christians.
I don't think he will be locked up for life. Hale is very articulate and will have a following in prison. He may have a personal security detail like klintoon. My problem with Hale, if he became an attorney, he should represent all people of different races in the name of justice for all. If an attorney can do this, let them practice law. Attorneys like us, are entitled to their own personal opinions though we may disagree. NSNR

Again, Hale didn't ask anyone to kill her. An undercover fed suggested "exterminating" the rat and Hale said do whatever you want but I work from within the law. A weirdo to be sure, but I think he was entrapped. Some people SHOULD go to jail for being stupid, and the "Pontifix Maximus" is a prime example. One of his followers could have done it. The Judge's home address and pictures of her family were posted on a racist discussion group.

If the cases bear fingerprints (tough to get more than a small part of a print on a .22, unless you roll the thing between your fingers), then I'll consider it to be unprofessional. Rimfire cartridges are the most common ammunition in the world, and semi-auto handguns (which can be fitted with sound suppressors) eject the spent brass. Revolvers retain the empties, but cannot be silenced effectively.
The choice of caliber, type of firearm, etc., has "professional hit" written all over it, and unless some informant overhears something, this crime may well go unsolved.
I don't know that he was made to be an example of, per se. He did commit the crime of which he was accused, that much seems clear if you read the case history. As for white supremist groups, much of their material advocates violence and overthrowing the government. A warning to these groups, in any form, would seem to be a good thing for America. Looking through the web material, I was surprised to find many of the white supremists admire and support Al Qaida, though one tract started out with "we wouldn't want them to marry our daughters, but..."
May point in being if we all pulled together in America as Americans then maybe we would have no radicals. The deaths are a tragedy, and the perps will be caught. Maybe they need to check out the local mosque. Please remember an Actus Rea and a Mens Rea we need both for the prosecution to proceed. Oh well, klintoon was and is a dirt bag. I am not very hip to the clip with any klintoon appointee. The application of the law is ambiguious to them. I do think it is very funny how people already link this crime to Matt Hale. For the good of justice let's hope they are caught and prosecuted to the full extent of the law regardless of who or what group is responsible.
I did a little research. Joan is a liberal judge. Her husband seemed like a good, successful, hard-working, Christian man. God rest his soul.

I agree he did play the role(of a fool)and is being punished for his actions. The are many supremist groups of other races besides casucasin who advocate anarchy/violence. I presume many have forgotten," By any means necessary." Hatred comes in all forms these days, but the (Mosque Boys" are at the head of the line. He got large discrimination settlements for poor, older, female and minority clients. I don't necessarily buy the white supremacist argument (too obvious and sensational), but I see no other obvious suspects, unless it was a robbery.

He probably will have a following in prison--this is very common among high profile cases; and especially when the convict is articulate or charismatic in some way.
Of course, if an attorney can truly represent a client to the best of his ability, he should be permitted to do so, regardless of his personal feelings. This takes integrity, though, and Hale just didn't strike me as a man of integrity, judging by the material he wrote that I was able to access. My personal opinion, that's all.

What on Earth does that have to do with trademark restrictions?!
I despise those people, but still...in America, one should have the right to freely associate with people you want to, without fearing that a judge will order your name to be given up to the public.
I bet Left wing groups feel the same way...what if PETA were ordered to give up their membership lists, they'd squeal like a stuck pig!

Totally agree with you Cajungirl. My own mom was attacked in the sixties by a man who later went home and murdered his mother and sister, then he killed a guy in on vagrant charges in jail while awaiting trial. To this day she feels responsible. She feels that she angered him by fighting him off. Not logical, but my mom's a kind, compassionate soul. For Judge's Lefkow's sake, I hope it wasn't a white supremacist or anyone with a grudge against her. No victim should ever feel responsible for an atrocity as unthinkable as this. I hate to say it but I hope it was a robbery. That way Joan can just deal with her grief instead of agonizing the rest of her life.
I am with you 100% on that! There is no greater threat to America as there is from, to borrow your definition, "The Mosque Boys".

Here here! Let's be Christian about this and recognize that our brothers and sisters come from all different backgrounds and political persuasions. Most of the posts are sympathetic, so don't the few making light of this horror represent the overwhelming sentiment of sadness and compassion here today.

Great song title, but I doubt “pulling together” is likely to de-radicalize the Matt Hales of the world. They’re as hyphenated as you get. Better to see them for what they are.

I haven’t the faintest idea who did it. Since he’s been convicted of attempting to have the Judge murdered, clearly Hale would be a suspect. And if he had nothing to do with it, he’s still a bad guy.

I'm not Jewish, but those I know who are say yes. Race and/or religion. What I don't know is if Lefkow was Jewish by race. My experience is that there are few Jews who convert to Christianity, so maybe Lefkow is a Jewish name which was adopted in some other country.
Again, prayers for the whole family. My heart goes out to Joan and her daughters. May they be a comfort to her.
I see the moderators have removed a few posts most of us never even saw; but they were very few indeed. I'm with you, most people on the right have way more real compassion than anyone I used to associate with on the left, whose first sentiments after 9/11 were not for the victims or their families, but for the enemies of America! A few cowardly hateful remarks here and there on FR will never make me forget the mass hatred for America that exists on the left.
