I am going to pray for this physician...I was literally cheering his words...his clarity...his ability to make that point that 'where there is life there is always hope', his explainations of the brain injured he has dealth with, his explanations of Terri's conciousness, like you spoke to in your post, his direct, no holds barred opinion that Terri deserves ALL the latest medical tests and procedures done before her life is taken forever in order to DETERMINE if she can be brought to the place where she can MAKE CLEAR her own wishes!!! Said he has experienced this with many of his patients!
I phoned Frist's office this afternoon. His aide informed me that the Senator was looking into the facts of this case, investigating Terri's medical condition and discussing it with doctors. FRIST does not yet know whether or not he will support S.539!!!!!!!!
It's a Bill that won't just apply to Terri, and thus I don't understand his rationale.
