It's not a bad idea to have the state troopers as a show of force that the State of Florida is behind their agency, but I don't think a shootout makes sense.
Who would be shooting who? The Schindlers are very law abiding and the doctors are not going to risk going against a state agency and kill Terri until this thing is settled.
I'm more afraid the agency will not step in to save Terri.

Without state troopers, I see no way for the DCF to intervene successfully.
And I like you I fear this agency won't do a thing when push comes to shove. Government tends to back down when challenged by great evil, but government pursues the righteous with a vengeance.

If Felos was allowed to remain in the room while DCF spoke to Judge Greer, and Gibbs and Terri supporters had to leave, THAT is NOT a GOOD SIGN! I highly doubt DCF will disobey Judge Greer.
