Terri's Freepers,
Judge George Greer denied Terri's parents' Motion for a Stay to protect their daughter's life while there are still pending issues in this LIFE AND DEATH MATTER. In addition the Department of Children and Family Services made a surprise visit to the court hearing the other day and asked Judge Greer if they could approach the bench. Judge Greer denied DCF the opportunity to speak. DCF asked for 60 days to conduct a complete investigation of allegations that have surfaced in the form of a Complaint to their agency.
What was set in motion instead? On Friday, February 25th, Judge Greer REFUSED TO issue another Stay because he was "not comfortable" issuing a say to protect a Ward of the State but instead "set a date certain" (on his calendar at least, not on mine) to BEGIN THE BARBARIC, ANTI-AMERICAN, STARVATION-DEHYDRATION SLOW MURDER OF TERRI.
Attorney Gibbs for Terri's parents held a press conference after J. Greer's order that was so tastefully written to indicate that "he was giving the Schindlers until March 18th so they could "prepare for Last Rites." Attorneys Gibbs called this ruling and prior rulings "Hitler-resque". Indeed.
If Judge Greer wasn't LEGALIZING EUTHANASIA in his courtroom, why any need for Last Rites? Greer's urgency to fulfill this killing places urgency on every one of us to lobby Governor Bush, Florida's House and Florida's Senate.
A Judge in America is ordering the manner of someone's death, a disabled woman who is healthy but needs rehabilitation.
Time is short so we don't really have time to get into Greer's mind to see why he is Florida's Til of the Hun.
What can we do?

Finally, the Pope has no Living Will. He will be SAFE as long as he stays away from George Greer's courtroom. The Pope is in our thoughts and prayers and he knows of Terri. He wants Terri to be freed from oppression and from a painless death by starvation-dehyration.
THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO EVERY DAY, THE PAY ISN'T VERY GOOD BUT THE FRINGE BENEFITS ARE THE GREATEST. You are Great Americans and liberty is Terri's and freedom from oppression. Freepers, that is the big payoff if we continue our daunting task.
Terri's family is grateful to you and all of your prayers are being heard by the Giver of Life.

Speaking at a prayer vigil in front of the Woodside Hospice in Pinellas Park where Terri resides, her father, Bob Schlindler, told participants in the rally that Mel Gibson telephoned him Mar. 11 and said he supported the family's efforts to save their daughter. In addition he prepared a statement to be released later today.
"I fully support the effort of Mr. & Mrs. Schlindler to save their daughter, Terri Schiavo, from a cruel starvation," Bob Schlindler read from Gibson's statement.
"Terri's husband should sign the care of his wife over to her parents so she can be properly cared for," Schlindler continued reading Gibson's statement.
The prayer vigil was still in progress as the time of this report. A "rose rally" at the Florida State Capitol in Tallahassee will take place 3 P.M. EST Mar. 12.
Bob and Mary Schindler, are the parents of Terri Schiavo, the 41-year-old brain damaged woman and the center of a debate over what some say is the most definitive case yet for legalized euthanasia in the United States.
Terris husband and legal guardian, Michael Schiavo, nearly a decade ago petitioned the court to halt the dispensing of nutrition and hydration through a feeding tube to his disabled, but otherwise healthy wife.
In 1990 Terri suffered brain damage after her heart stopped. Since then, some doctors have said she is in a persistent vegetative state, but her parents and supporters contend she is in a minimally conscious state. She could improve were she provided rehabilitation services, her supporters say, but Michael Schiavo has refused to do so in recent years.
Although Michael Schiavo says his wife would want to die, no written request from Terri exists and only he and his relatives have testified saying she would not wish to live. Terris parents and supporters have cited a conflict of interest in an ongoing court challenge to his continued guardianship of their daughter on several points--one of which is that Michael has lived with his girlfriend, with whom he has fathered two children, for 10 years.
Sixth Circuit Judge George W. Greer ruled Feb. 25 that Terris nutrition and hydration be discontinued March 18, and in a flurry of decisions since that time also has ruled Terri cannot undergo more medical testing and cannot be fed by mouth. Greer also rebuffed a request by Floridas Department of Children and Families for a 60-day stay of his motion to begin the starvation process, so that they could investigate allegations that Michael Schiavo has abused and neglected Terri.
Greer also refused to move forward a motion challenging his ruling that a witness who testified about Terris end of life wishes was not credible.
The motion asked Greer to vacate his original Feb. 11, 2000, order that Terris feeding tube be withdrawn. The tube has twice been withdrawn and reinserted at the direction of the court and Floridas legislature. DONE!
Then again, Judgement may be very SWIFT!! I cannot believe that our God has NOT had enough of the UNGODLINESS of the Nations that have been given the most GOSPEL LIGHT of all the rest of the world put together.
But when did food and water EVER become medical treatment? The USA is way ahead of us to my knowledge. There is a Saskatchewan man who Co2'd his severly disabled daughter to death and he is in prison. Oh yes, the Euthanasia crowd cried injustice, it was appealed but the appeal was refused.

MEL GIBSON CONTACTS TERRI'S FAMILY
With time growing short, activists rally to save Terri Schiavo

PINELLAS PARK, Fla. - With words of encouragement from Hollywood superstar Mel Gibson, the family of Terri Schiavo joined a rally Saturday to continue pleading for the brain-damaged woman's life, just days before the court-ordered removal of her feeding tube.
Bob and Mary Schindler joined a crowd of about 200 people who prayed, waved signs, sang and listened to speakers outside the hospice where their 41-year-old daughter lives. Terri Schiavo has been at the center of a long and bitter court battle between her parents and her husband, who wants to remove her feeding tube so she can die.
The family was buoyed by a call from Gibson, who subsequently issued a two-sentence statement voicing his support for the Schindlers' efforts to keep their daughter alive.
"He told me we should never, ever, ever give up," said Bob Schindler, who talked to "The Passion of the Christ" director Friday. "He said to hammer God with prayers and hammer him hard."
Despite wide support worldwide from religious groups and disability rights activists, the family's attorneys has so far been unable to block the removal of the feeding tube, set for 1 p.m. Friday.
The woman's husband, Michael Schiavo, won the court order to remove her feeding tube, saying she wouldn't want to be kept alive artificially. But her parents doubt she had such end-of-life wishes and dispute that she is in a persistent vegetative state as court-appointed doctors have determined.
Saturday's gathering was hopeful.
"We will be written into the history books, because we will be successful in the end," Thomas Euteneuer, a Catholic priest who heads the anti-abortion group Human Life International, told the crowd.
Groups supporting the Schindlers said they would begin a 24-hour vigil outside the hospice beginning Wednesday. The activists also will be visible in Tallahassee in the coming week, lobbying lawmakers to act to save Terri Schiavo and staging rallies and vigils.
Bills that lawmakers say could save the woman's life are in the works in the Florida Legislature and the U.S. Congress. Two issues also are alive in the 2nd District Court of Appeal, which said it will rule by 5 p.m. Thursday.
The Schindlers watched their legal options dwindle in recent days. A state judge rejected three motions aimed at keeping her alive and denied the state Department of Children & Families intervention in the case.
Michael Schiavo's attorney, George Felos, didn't immediately return a call seeking comment Saturday.
Terri Schiavo's feedings have been stopped twice before and then resumed. In 2003, Gov. Jeb Bush pushed a bill through the Legislature authorizing him to resume the feedings six days after the court ordered removal of the tube. The law later was ruled unconstitutional by the Florida Supreme Court.
Bob Schindler said he's more encouraged this time than when the tube was removed in 2003. With so many voices speaking out, he figures something will happen at the last minute to save his daughter's life again.
"Last time we had a tremendous amount of support," he said. "This time, it's quadrupled at least."
Terri Schiavo suffered severe brain damage when her heart stopped beating for five minutes in 1990. She can breathe on her own, but depends on the tube in her abdomen for food and water.
Her parents say she laughs, cries, interacts with them and tries to talk. Doctors appointed by the court say her movements and vocalizations are involuntary, while some doctors believe she may have some consciousness.

I was an RN in my earlier years MarMema. By snowing are you referring to over morphining? I can honestly say, I have never seen A SINGLE PATIENT dehydrated. Every single one of them always had an IV running.
Just so you know, their petition site doesn't say what petition you're signing .. only "sign the petition," .. they should correct it so that people know what they're petitioning for.
Yup. Me too.
Uh oh...I thought I read that it was in support of the Incapacitated Persons Protection Act....sure hope the petition I signed was exactly that.
About 1985 it looks like.
I know about Robert Latimer. Have you seen any of Disk Sobsey's studies?
Make that Dick, not Disk.
It did .. but I don't know the language of that act. All I was saying is that I think it should clearly set out the salient points of what we're petitioning.
Probably just picky on my part ;)
Yep
That National Council of Churches is a real "dogs breakfast". I would hope they don't say anything. It won't be helpful.
Altho in fairness, cancer was eating her up from the inside...so that may have been a large part of the pain.
She has refused food for several days before she was even brought home and was given some kind of nourishment thru an IV.
That was stopped just before she came home from the hospital. The hospice worker has the morphine, the wet sponges, a stethoscope that allows them to know when the bowels shut down, the watch the kidney catheter (sp?), and can pretty much predict time of death when the sounds within the intestinal tract stop.
The morphine was given to her upon her tongue.... guess that means, according to Michael, that Terri does not get any morphine...NOTHING IN HER MOUTH, RIGHT? ( Why...................she might aspirate! )
She can't SWALLOW, RIGHT? That is why she has drowned so frequently in her own 2 quarts of saliva each day . RIGHT????????????
My GOODNESS...for Terri...ALL THEY HAVE TO DO IS JUST CAP IT OFF OR NOT PUT FOOD INTO IT! THIS IS ALL SUCH A SICK SICK STUPID OUTRAGEOUS TORTUROUS BUNCH OF EVIL!
WHY PUT HER THROUGH THE TUBE REMOVAL???? WHAT IS THE POINT? To make SURE no one slides a little food in it illegally?
These are the SICKEST BUNCH of IMMORAL CREEPS EVER!
With people like this on your side, who needs enemies? Absolute SHAME on Santorum.
No I haven't seen those studies. I have absolutely NO PITY FOR LATIMER.
