TERRI SCHIAVO MARCH 2005 DAILIES Fla's Til of the Hun Sets March Date to Starve Terri

Terri's Freepers,

Judge George Greer denied Terri's parents' Motion for a Stay to protect their daughter's life while there are still pending issues in this LIFE AND DEATH MATTER. In addition the Department of Children and Family Services made a surprise visit to the court hearing the other day and asked Judge Greer if they could approach the bench. Judge Greer denied DCF the opportunity to speak. DCF asked for 60 days to conduct a complete investigation of allegations that have surfaced in the form of a Complaint to their agency.

What was set in motion instead? On Friday, February 25th, Judge Greer REFUSED TO issue another Stay because he was "not comfortable" issuing a say to protect a Ward of the State but instead "set a date certain" (on his calendar at least, not on mine) to BEGIN THE BARBARIC, ANTI-AMERICAN, STARVATION-DEHYDRATION SLOW MURDER OF TERRI.

Attorney Gibbs for Terri's parents held a press conference after J. Greer's order that was so tastefully written to indicate that "he was giving the Schindlers until March 18th so they could "prepare for Last Rites." Attorneys Gibbs called this ruling and prior rulings "Hitler-resque". Indeed.

If Judge Greer wasn't LEGALIZING EUTHANASIA in his courtroom, why any need for Last Rites? Greer's urgency to fulfill this killing places urgency on every one of us to lobby Governor Bush, Florida's House and Florida's Senate.

A Judge in America is ordering the manner of someone's death, a disabled woman who is healthy but needs rehabilitation.

Time is short so we don't really have time to get into Greer's mind to see why he is Florida's Til of the Hun.

What can we do?

1. LOBBY TO SAVE TERRI

2. HELP BUMP THIS THREAD.

3. POST ARTICLES YOU SEE ABOUT TERRI.

4. VISIT PINELLAS COUNTY FLORIDA AND VIGIL WITH US AT HOSPICE WOODSIDE.

5. VISIT TALLAHASSEE AND LOBBY IN THE HALLS OF THE LEGISLATURE.

6. HOLD A DEMONSTRATION AT THE GOVERNOR'S MANSION.

7. Join the Message Board that freepers started at the Crystal Cathedral/Hour of Power. TELL YOUR CHURCH ABOUT TERRI.

8. Tell your friends that Terri is alert and aware of her surroundings and to visit www.terrisfight.org to see her videos.

9. PETITIONS. We will gather current Petitions here for you. At this time, you can sign a SAVE TERRI PETITION AT www.renewamerica.us. THERE ARE ALSO IMPEACH GREER PETITIONS ABOUT.

Finally, the Pope has no Living Will. He will be SAFE as long as he stays away from George Greer's courtroom. The Pope is in our thoughts and prayers and he knows of Terri. He wants Terri to be freed from oppression and from a painless death by starvation-dehyration.

THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO EVERY DAY, THE PAY ISN'T VERY GOOD BUT THE FRINGE BENEFITS ARE THE GREATEST. You are Great Americans and liberty is Terri's and freedom from oppression. Freepers, that is the big payoff if we continue our daunting task.

Terri's family is grateful to you and all of your prayers are being heard by the Giver of Life.

This is Terri's Fight and the battle is enjoined. JOIN US TO SAVE TERRI FROM FORCES THAT HAVE BUT ONE GOAL THAT IS AGAINST EVERYTHING AMERICAN.

GUIDELINES: If you want to start frivolous discussions, please start your own thread in chat.

If you like something from www.theempirejournal.com, please do not post the entire article at Free Republic. Unless I hear otherwise, I believe that we are allowed to post the title and link. How do you STARVE a person who is HEALTHY and NOT CALL IT MURDER?

You just say this is the democratic process at work! Well, it may not be democracy, but those who favor this murder consider themselves "men of the people."

MM, this came up about 2 weeks ago. I read the links you gave on precedent setting cases, but failed to say anything about it. I'm going to have to give a mixed answer.

First, I agree that the precedent to allow euthanasia to exist was set a long time ago. Also, that because of those precedents, it has become a frequent, ongoing occurrence. What has been changing steadily are the conditions under which it is allowed.

Often when the courts are used to press an agenda towards a final goal, it's done in increments. Each case sets a precedent, building on previous precedents. Eventually the precedents pile up, every point of the agenda is granted, and the goal is reached. Then, it's codified into law by the legislative branch.

This can be good - example: the long series of cases that advanced the agenda to end Jim Crow laws and racial discrimination. After enough laws had been struck by courts and enough precedents had accumulated, the laws had to be reworked. The result was civil rights legislation.

Then, there's euthanasia. In one of those articles was a comment explaining that with a certain case, every precedent had been set except one to allow involuntary euthanasia.

Forced euthanasia - decided on by courts and doctors (or those they delegate), rather than patients and family - is the goal. Terri's case wouldn't quite set that precedent, but it would be a lot closer. Consider how many people Greer et al have ruled as having no authority in this matter. Not just the family, but also eyewitnesses, medical experts, the legislative branch, the governor, and even law enforcement! (DCF). If those rulings are allowed to stand, some big potential obstacles to the euthanasia agenda are eliminated. That, as much as anything else, is how this case would benefit the euthanasia crowd. And I'm sure they're very aware of it.

With time growing short, activists rally to save Terri Schiavo

MITCH STACY
Associated Press Writer
PINELLAS PARK, Fla. — With words of encouragement from Hollywood superstar Mel Gibson, the family of Terri Schiavo joined a rally Saturday to continue pleading for the brain-damaged woman's life, just days before the court-ordered removal of her feeding tube.

Bob and Mary Schindler joined a crowd of about 200 people who prayed, waved signs, sang and listened to speakers outside the hospice where their 41-year-old daughter lives. Terri Schiavo has been at the center of a long and bitter court battle between her parents and her husband, who wants to remove her feeding tube so she can die.

The family was buoyed by a call from Gibson, who subsequently issued a two-sentence statement voicing his support for the Schindlers' efforts to keep their daughter alive.

"He told me we should never, ever, ever give up," said Bob Schindler, who talked to "The Passion of the Christ" director Friday. "He said to hammer God with prayers and hammer him hard."

Despite wide support worldwide from religious groups and disability rights activists, the family's attorneys has so far been unable to block the removal of the feeding tube, set for 1 p.m. Friday.

The woman's husband, Michael Schiavo, won the court order to remove her feeding tube, saying she wouldn't want to be kept alive artificially. But her parents doubt she had such end-of-life wishes and dispute that she is in a persistent vegetative state as court-appointed doctors have determined.

Saturday's gathering was hopeful.

"We will be written into the history books, because we will be successful in the end," Thomas Euteneuer, a Catholic priest who heads the anti-abortion group Human Life International, told the crowd.

Groups supporting the Schindlers said they would begin a 24-hour vigil outside the hospice beginning Wednesday. The activists also will be visible in Tallahassee in the coming week, lobbying lawmakers to act to save Terri Schiavo and staging rallies and vigils.

Bills that lawmakers say could save the woman's life are in the works in the Florida Legislature and the U.S. Congress. Two issues also are alive in the 2nd District Court of Appeal, which said it will rule by 5 p.m. Thursday.

The Schindlers watched their legal options dwindle in recent days. A state judge rejected three motions aimed at keeping her alive and denied the state Department of Children & Families intervention in the case.

Michael Schiavo's attorney, George Felos, didn't immediately return a call seeking comment Saturday.

Terri Schiavo's feedings have been stopped twice before and then resumed. In 2003, Gov. Jeb Bush pushed a bill through the Legislature authorizing him to resume the feedings six days after the court ordered removal of the tube. The law later was ruled unconstitutional by the Florida Supreme Court.

Bob Schindler said he's more encouraged this time than when the tube was removed in 2003. With so many voices speaking out, he figures something will happen at the last minute to save his daughter's life again.

"Last time we had a tremendous amount of support," he said. "This time, it's quadrupled at least."

Terri Schiavo suffered severe brain damage when her heart stopped beating for five minutes in 1990. She can breathe on her own, but depends on the tube in her abdomen for food and water.

Her parents say she laughs, cries, interacts with them and tries to talk. Doctors appointed by the court say her movements and vocalizations are involuntary, while some doctors believe she may have some consciousness.

The Honorable Tom Gallagher

Isn't this a surprise? Aren't the Gallagher brothers considered moderate to liberal Republicans? Wouldn't they be thought to be admirers of George W. Greer, much in the mold of the popular Everett Rice?

SINCE TERRI IS NOT IN A VEGETATIVE STATE, SHERIFF COATS HAS A DUTY TO RESCUE TERRI FROM HOSPICE. Greer's Order is meaningless. Please contact Sheriff Coats office to demand that he rescue Terri because if she is killed while not in a vegetative state, THAT IS A FELONY.

The key point that authorizes and REQUIRES local officials to stop Terri's March 18 execution is that regardless of what judge greer says, Terri is NOT VEGETATIVE. That makes killing her a felony.

Sheriff Coats' contact info, furnished by officer McLamb, is:

TERRI VIGILS BEGINNING BY MORE GROUPS ON WEDNESDAY, MARCH 16th.

PINELLAS PARK, Fl., March 11 /Christian Wire Service/ -- Faith organizations and leaders are encouraging supporters to come to the Woodside Hospice to stand in solidarity with Terri Schiavo if she faces starvation and dehydration from the removal of her feeding tube.

The Woodside Hospice, where Terri Schiavo lives, is located at 6774 102nd Avenue N. (near 66th Street N and 102nd Avenue N) in Pinellas Park, Florida.

The groups will begin a round-the-clock vigil on Wednesday, March 16th at 12:00 P.M. Organizers to hold prayer vigils, rallies, and peaceful activist and cutting edge public events.

Rev. Rob Schenck, President of the National Clergy Council, states, "If the feeding tube is removed, we are asking people of good will to come from all across the nation to stand in solidarity with our sister Terri and the Schindler family. It is essential that we send a loud and clear message that in America we do not starve people facing physical and mental challenges. We love and care for them."

Troy Newman, Director of Operation Rescue West, comments, "If Terri were a convicted serial killer, she would be afforded more civil and legal rights then she is being given right now. It is illegal to starve an animal in America. How can we possibly allow this to happen to a human being?"

Brandi Swindell, National Director of Generation Life, shares, "I hope and pray thousands come to Florida to stand with our dear sister Terri. We must prayerfully do all that we can to save her life and ensure this never happens again."

Rev. Patrick J. Mahoney, Director of the Christian Defense Coalition, adds, "If Terri's feeding tube is removed, it is critical that that the faith community and people of good will publicly stand against this horrible injustice and evil. Our prayer is that thousands will come to Pinellas Park and send a clear and powerful message to our courts and political leaders that all life is sacred and has dignity. Not only are working to save the life of Terri Schiavo, and the many others in her condition, we are working to save the future soul of our nation."

I left my church because of this council.

It is stinking liberal cesspool of people so blinded by their job status they have matched the ranks of the Pharisee's greed, and would rather get kudos from their like minded friends than stand for the spirit of the law.

Washington, D.C. -- The National Right to Life Committee (NRLC) is calling on Congress to enact a bill to be introduced by Representative Dave Weldon, M.D. (R-Fl-15) that would give the Schindler family access to a federal court to argue for the life of their daughter, Terri Schindler-Schiavo.

“Congress can act to ensure a federal court hearing on whether or not Terri will die of starvation and dehydration,” said Lori Kehoe, Congressional Liaison for NRLC’s Robert Powell Center for Medical Ethics. “A proceeding known as the ‘writ of habeas corpus,’ which is protected by the U.S. Constitution, has been used for centuries to give a hearing to those whose liberty has been constrained by state courts in violation of the Constitution or federal laws. We call on all citizens to immediately contact their U.S. Senators and Representatives and urge them to support Representative Weldon’s bill to amend the Habeas Corpus Act to allow its use when a state court orders denial of food or fluids in cases like Terri’s.”
