WASH POST: 'Condoleezza Rice's coat and boots speak of sex and power'
Drudge ^

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice arrived at the Wiesbaden Army Airfield on Wednesday dressed all in black. She was wearing a black skirt that hit just above the knee, and it was topped with a black coat that fell to mid-calf. The coat, with its seven gold buttons running down the front and its band collar, called to mind a Marine's dress uniform or the "save humanity" ensemble worn by Keanu Reeves in "The Matrix."

I wonder if Condi does her own hair. No one but my mother was ever allowed to touch my hair.

This reminds of of when the Washington Compost set their Fashion Editor to work on Katherine Harris and criticized her lipstick. They only do this to Republican women. When they do a story on a Democrat woman, they send a political reporter.
Evidently in Condi's case they couldn't find much to criticize.

I like the hairdo! Very chic and would work great.
Chanel is about as square as diamonds! You can never go wrong with diamonds but keep them under 2 carats for daytime unless you are a princess. I loved to say that to my daughters {while dressed in sweatpants} to their endless amusement. We used to have big discussions over diamonds. And the Miss America contest. We had such fun whenthey were at home.

Hey.... a great idea for a new product! (uh, guess it never made it out of the Seinfeld episode.ha)

re read the article. It is damning,,sexualizes Condi. For crying out loud they use the word dominatrix!! When was the last time you heard that word used about a woman cabinet member. This was a hit piece cloaked in a little bit of praise. It was meant to embarass and humiliate her and bring her down. It won't , but that was the intent.

Most working women get a good cut have their stylist recommend some good products and then do the rest themselves....Today women don't have the time for other to give them a "DO".

"Right,,painting her as a oversexed black woman, racist article if you ask me."
Good point, I had not even thought about it from that perspective.

Exactly. When did a WaPo journalist gush about Warren Christopher's three button Hickey Freeman suit, two side vents, in a subtle blue pinstripe? This is condescending balderdash, much more "anti-feminist" than anything Larry Summers said.

Go, Condi, Baby!! What class, intellect, decorum and graciousness ...not to mention discipline. All attributes of a true leader.

Condi is half the woman Albright is...And Albright is twice the man her husband is.
Sidenote: Albrights father was actually Condi's mentor.
Hit google and put their names in, Condi is more the ideological heir to Albrights dad, then the daughter is.
Rice also has a funny story about when she broke the news to Albright that she was a republican.

This is true, however attempting to apply it to Condi is so guttural. Condi is a beautiful, graceful, and classy lady, and all some of these perverts see is 'SEX'.

This was the most flattering article about a Bush Administration member that the normally catty Robin Givhan has ever written.
SNIP
Rice brought her full self to the world stage -- and that included her sexuality. It was not overt or inappropriate. If it was distracting, it is only because it is so rare.
