On the radio as breaking so far!
I know that there is very little open-mindedness left on this topic, but the answer to your question is to let this poor maimed woman go home. Is there no end to what others can do to continue her long-suffering for ideological 'points'? Only those with a narrow definition of 'life', no understanding of the mercy of God and willing to continue their narrow conception of 'life' at any cost to the person involved would want this poor woman to continue to suffer.
There, I finally said it. This whole 'show' is a travesty.
Even in the worst case scenario, Terri would have little trouble surviving the weekend. I believe the last time it was removed, it was six days before it was reinserted.
We don't like to see innocent human beings starved to death. We're funny that way.
Maybe the petition is down or is getting a lot of hits. (?)

I don't know all the details about the Quinlan case but your argument sounds similar to the one made to sidewalk counselors at abortion mills. "How many babies have you adopted?" (My son is adopted) "Are you willing to care for these babies that are kept, implying that by saving their lives, I am now responsible for all their financial needs the rest of their lives. The argument proves nothing as to whether she should have been removed from life support.
Any judge that rules the tubes be removed ought be required to go to the hospital and do it himself, and sit there and watch., for as long as it takes.
Thanks Graymatter for doing that. I didn't see it the first time around. You certainly didn't mince any words, and rightly so I might add.

I just read this story. This is a (free) subscription site (Atlanta Journal Constitution). I'm too computer challenged to figure out how to give it it's own thread....but I think you all will find it interesting. The Florida DCF is seeking a 60 day stay....but there are interesting tidbits in the article.

Sounds like he has his mind made up and will do the cowardly deed in darkness.
I'm all for mind your own business. Terri's family appealed to the public for help. Next.
Please see #632. I think info in the linked article are good for Terri....thanks
IS good for Terri...sheesh.
I'm fairly certain that Ms. McCorvey did not abort that child. She has also become quite pro-life--her change of heart is a very amazing story. You are right in that Ms. McCorvey was a pawn, and things she has written make me believe that she believes so, too. Michael, however, is no pawn. He is a willing participant, doing everything he can to foist upon us this brave new world where the less than perfect are not forced to live their obviously miserable lives.

"Florida Voter help me out with the Petition on George Greer please!!! It was posted last night on one of the threads."
I got another response with a link. I went and signed.
Thanks.
