Ivan, BTW what is up with Hampstead & Highgate MP Glenda Jackson? I saw her one day During the Prime Minister Question Period. What a B*tch!

She did one great thing when she portrayed ERI. Great british series.

If William becomes King, does Harry have any official title? I was just curious.

He'll still be Prince Harry. I suspect he'll be made a Duke of someplace. Obersalzberg, I suppose. :)

Regards, Ivan

I think that Charles really doesn't give a hoot if he's passed over or not. He can enjoy his married life with the love of his life, plus he can take good care of his roses and rutabagas in his other love affair, gardening.

However, and seriously, when the Queen dies, Charles will be the king, not William.....all speculation to the contrary. What the Queen is doing in attending the blessing (but not the wedding) is delicately balancing Church of England, State and traditional necessities with her own personal love for her son and his happiness.

I'm not reading anything into her decision and announcement other than it's well done. It's politically correct, it smooths a lot of bristling feathers and it's royal eyewash for the media and masses.

BTW, William could take the throne as King Arthur, if he so chose.

King Arthur II

I pray that your William understands (and bears) the weight of his burden that lies ahead. May he honor the people, the crown, the nation, and his commitments to all of them.

I guess Liz already promised some "nudge, nudge, wink, wink" time with her Greek paramour that day. Phil still seems like the bloods still flowing...

Again, best of luck to Chuck and Camilla.

Hampstead is a part of London filled with snooty, exceedingly rich Socialists, who were so bloody proud of themselves when they kept Starbucks out. Glenda Jackson is a snooty, exceedingly rich Socialist who is bloody proud of herself for achieving precisely nothing worthwhile in Parliament.

Charles may decide to decline the title, in any case. After all, his uncle Edward VIII abdicated to marry the twice-divorced (and androgynous) Mrs. Simpson.

What is it with these Windsor males? Diana may have had emotional problems, but she was drop-dead beautiful and Charles left her for a woman with a face that has been charitably compared to the TV horse, Mr. Ed.

Who was the other slut in Camilla's family? Was it her grandmother or great-grandmother? Does anybody know? Madivan could probably answer this one...

Alice Keppel, her grand-grandmother, was mistress to Edward VII.

I believe it was her great-grandmother and her name was Alice Keppel. She was the mistress of Edward VII (Victoria's son). There was a little inset article about her in People magazine this week which is why I know this otherwise completely useless bit of information :) Alice was not much of a looker either.

Maybe Camilla and her grandmother can share their secrets with the rest of us women.

Whenever I hear Camilla's name, I can almost hear horses in the distance snorting and whinnying ala Young Frankenstein when Frau Blucher's name was mentioned.
