Maverick Republican Sen. John McCain said Sunday that his New York colleague, Sen. Hillary Clinton, would do well if she becomes president of the United States.
"I am sure that Sen. Clinton would make a good president," McCain told NBC's "Meet the Press," as both he and Clinton were being interviewed from Baghdad.
While noting that as a Republican, he'll be supporting the GOP nominee in 2008, McCain reiterated, "I have no doubt that Sen. Clinton would make a good president."
Asked whether she thought McCain would make a good president, Sen. Clinton was somewhat less effusive, responding tersely, "Absolutely" - before erupting in her familiar cackle.
Well, gee, thanks Missouri.
Like all others here I'm posting my opinions re. 08, and I stand by them.
If and when something changes, then I'll adjust my opinions based on that, but now, this is it.
Not so fast....what if McCain pulls a "perot" and the Repubs nominate another Bob Dole type....? It could happen. McLame is slimy enough...

I have to agree. In all seriousness, this is a damaged man, who is all the more dangerous because he apparently doesn't realize how impaired he really is.
He doesn't belong within shouting distance of executive power, at any level. The senate is a relatively safe harbor for him, but he should not have security clearance at this point and should not be assigned to sensitive committees like Armed Services. His judgment is no better than Leaky Leahy's; having been a POW and a mediocre pilot gives him no special insight into military matters at the strategic level.

McCain clearly shows he never has and never will have the sanity and judgment to be President. This from a man who thinks he owns Vietnam and told us that Kerry was a great man who would make a great President even if he didn't quite abandon the GOP. What is wrong with him? He's got multiple personalities. As for '08, McCain can forget about it. Duncan Hunter for '08.

Disagree. McCain is always angling for McCain. If it's left, middle statist, middle populist, right, or middle libertarian - if it works for McStain, he'll go for it.

What in the world happened to this guy when he was a POW. I know he's a RINO but this comment is way off base. Generally he reserves his comments to please as many people as he can reach at one time. Guess he hasn't seen a poll lately. Looks like we need to work to make sure both of these shmucks get a reservation for obscurity.Oh Jesus...
