President Bush nominated John Negroponte today to be the new Director of National Intelligence. Negroponte is the former ambassador to Iraq. The First Couple also hosted Paul Rusesabagina and his wife, Tatiana. Mr. Rusesabagina sheltered refugees in a Rwandan hotel where he worked as a manager, and was the subject of the movie, 'Hotel Rwanda'. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!
I thought you would appreciate the second one the first one I just posted for fun to see what comments we got. Must go now off to Bromley with dad now to his hospital appointment speak to you all later.
Hi, Snugs. :o) I think he's just one of those 'blessed' people who don't have many lines.
Troll smashing - great new FR sport!
Thank you for a very well-informed answer to my question. It is funny how so many times people think they are doing the "humane" thing, as for the poor little fox, and end up doing more harm than good. Did they ever consider the economic side-effects of what they were about, or what was going to happen to all of the poor dogs who are now "out of a job"! I hope you guys do get this misguided rule changed before all those animals are destroyed just to placate the do-gooders over there! Have a good day--see ya on FR tonight!
My mother had 5 embolisms in both lungs - last June. Trust me, your mother *needs* to rest...put it in 1st rather than 4th gear.
Do your nails look good though?! :o)
I'm sure the proper spelling is wrong but you get the idea for a photo caption. :o)
"Hey, presscorp - quit makin' like a butterfly - as in winging it....."
Perhaps our church is 'odd', because it's a packed house for prayer meetings. :o)
Not odd in a church that is ALIVE, mrs t.! Wonderful!
Great thinking, ohio! And oh yes, it was a common thing to do in church instead of paying attention to the service, hehe. LOVE your version...LOL!
Can't claim that it was original..........but whoever came up with it is probably dead by now, so he/she won't sue me for it. :o)
Yes, I've actually been kissed by him (a point I don't mind repeating!), and I did notice how he smelled.
I would say no to the cologne unless it was very light, but would say that he smelled really good (which surprised me). I'd say 'fresh' might describe it best.
It was funny, because I was so overcome by the whole thing, and I wasn't thinking about scent at all, but I noticed that.....
Fresh works! Lucky for you on the kiss!
Hi snugs.
I'm surely glad you found this place.
How are you and your dad? Has he had his appointment already today?
Does anyone know of the circumstances under which Hugh Sidey said that President Bush was "the most complete man we have had as President?" He also said we are the "most blessed".
My little mother is a very determined lady. She's not behaving well at all! But she seems to be holding up okay. I'm just afraid she'll push too hard and end up causing herself more trouble.
She's only 64 and she is a retired school administrator and she's used to making the rules!
About the nails, believe it or not, I have NEVER had a manicure or pedicure in a salon. I'm 45 years old! It was fun though, she and I did it together. Today she got a perm, and now, if I can find enough episodes of "Everybody Loves Raymond" to keep her occuppied, I think she's settled for the day.
I will definitely tell her what you said about your mom and remind her once again to rest.
The doctor told my mother that full recovery of this takes up to a year. How is your Mom?
If you find out, could you give me a ping? I agree with his assessment of 'completeness' in this man.......would love to read his reasoning behind it.
