President Bush nominated John Negroponte today to be the new Director of National Intelligence. Negroponte is the former ambassador to Iraq. The First Couple also hosted Paul Rusesabagina and his wife, Tatiana. Mr. Rusesabagina sheltered refugees in a Rwandan hotel where he worked as a manager, and was the subject of the movie, 'Hotel Rwanda'. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!
Sweet dreams, everyone! Nice talking to you all.
Good night have just posted you another photo it will be waiting for you in the morning. LOL
That is a lovely photo where did you get it and I do believe there is yet another Cheney Chick.
Hi there! I'm not always here where everyone else is here, so I keep up with everyone by reading the Dose late at night.
I was just reading the link that Dr. Deb posted about the President giving the tour of the ranch to the press. It was pretty funny.
When he was talking about having to take his dirty clothes off on the porch, I was laughing so hard I woke up the dog!
GREAT PICTURE!
I found it through yahoo images I think. It was a celebration at the Pentagon a while back. Saw Cheney on Imus, he's not as tough as he likes to put on and has a great sense of humor. That running photo is hilarious, was he late for something?
Thanks! That looks really interesting. I'm going to save it and read it tomorrow.
I think it was a picnic at the Whitehouse maybe he was running late for a scheduled appearance or something!!
Things are pretty good for us. I'm staying with my mother for a couple of days since she just got out of the hospital. (Pulmonary embolism)
She is SUPPOSED to be resting, but she's been running around the house all day. Paying bills, hand feeding the dog, going out to eat, taking me to get a manicure and a pedicure.....
She's making me tired!
'nite!
Wow! This is the first I knew of a live thread! I guess I have been to busy watching the actual show. I have watched all 4 seasons and, even though some say it is biased against conservatives, I just haven't noticed because it so very intense. I have just loved it! I guess I don't let my politics interfere with my entertainment! My husband knows not to even talk to me when it is on so I don't miss something.
Sorry to hear your mom has been poorly but sounds as if she is on the mend how is she coping with dad? God Bless you all and it really is good night from me.
Sorry did not check my sentance before posting of course what I meant to say was how is she coping without dad? Terribly sorry for that miss type.
God Bless you
Thanks for posting that link. I sat one night and made lots of snowflakes, but then lost the link.
It is lots of fun!
Good night!
...."and this is how the butterfly flutters away!"
Your pictures of the snow at your house are just beautiful--and I am soooooo glad they aren't at my house! It is fairly cool here, mid 40's, but nothing like what you have!
Thanks for asking Eleanor. She's doing pretty well. She is finally able to sleep in her own bed. She has been sleeping in a chair all night until recently.
She and my dad had separate beds, but in the same room for many years, since he never slept well and would roam the house at night. That way he wouldn't wake her when he got up. Their bedroom is huge and has two queen sized beds and a sitting area.
The huge bedroom without him in it has just been too hard for her. But like I said, she has been able to sleep there again in the last two weeks.
She is thinking about buying a smaller house, so we may go house hunting in a day or so.
I really appreciate you asking. I also appreciate you letting us know how your parents are doing.
I have you all on my prayer list.
