President Bush nominated John Negroponte today to be the new Director of National Intelligence. Negroponte is the former ambassador to Iraq. The First Couple also hosted Paul Rusesabagina and his wife, Tatiana. Mr. Rusesabagina sheltered refugees in a Rwandan hotel where he worked as a manager, and was the subject of the movie, 'Hotel Rwanda'. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!
Great quote from Rummy in your tagline, jinkagrl. ;-) He is so wickedly droll.
Sigh. You called in the cavalry just when I was getting warmed up to do battle with the troll. [snicker]
Now get lost!
But you can stay INSIDE and just watch it. :o)
Now now, Wolfstar. Just think of your cat toying with a mouse before it bites its little head off. Now wouldn't that be mean?
On the other hand.....
Keep your finger on the trigger, Wolfstar, we may need you later.
Nation Rifle Association CEO Wayne LaPierre, left, listens as Vice President Dick Cheney addresses the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington, February 17, 2005.
Bubba makes me go out. He has his ways!!
I know it's best to ignore the riff raff, but this guy was certifiable. Not just your average, you guys drink Kool-aid kind of troll...........but rather a should be in a straightjacket kind of troll.
Very true. But sometimes it's such fun to engage them. Their reasoning ability and writing skills are usually about grade-school level. Every once in awhile, that dark side of me likes to come out and take 'em on. Piece of cake.
Count each 'happy' day as a blessing.
What did you make for dinner? I can give you a really easy pork chop recipe that my family just loves . . . then you can impress your mom even more.
I heard about the 'breaking news' this AM when I got back from my walk. They all said it was a big surprise too--that he was announcing it all of the sudden. They almost acted like they had hurt feelings because they didn't know further ahead--LOL!
He did have a press conference after, and there were surprisingly few stupid questions from the reporters.
It was the inspiration for my tagline. I saw jinkagrl's and went off looking for another great Rummy quote. He says the funniest things :)
I felt like I was on a 1930's Hollywood set with fake snow coming down around me. It was great!
Sometimes they lie in wait. Besides not all trolls are from the Dim side. Some are from the far-right fringe. Some of those folks find it all too easy to foam at the mouth at the drop of a hat.
I'm all for arguing with trolls. This one didn't seem to have any point to argue with though so I wouldn't know where to begin.
I love the part where Jack comes on during commercial break and makes an announcement:
Hi, I play Jack on 24. I just want you to know that Muslims are really very nice people. As far as the hundred or so I took out last week, well, I didn't really enjoy it, and by the way, they are all actors.
No actual Muslim terrorists were killed during the filming of this show.
Negroponte sounds like a Spanish or Italian name. I think the name would mean black point in Italian, but am not sure
Hi Wolf
I believe he is a Greek-American but an Italian type name
(Venetian) The combination has to do with all the folks
who occupied the neighborhood in Byzantium.
Good job! Both the quality of a photo from TV and your posting.
Sorry to miss you tonight. How's your brother?
It was a great press conference, wasn't it? Surprisingly few stupid questions from the press. Think they're getting a clue?
