I saw someone wearing gay jeans in San Francisco a few years ago. The back pockets were cut out exposing their butt cheeks. If I had ever had any thoughts of becoming gay, that pretty much would have ended it right there.

Because it clearly refutes the urban myth they have so carefully crafted: the lie that about 10 percent of the population is "born gay" and simply can’t help it. Many today are being taught to believe that homosexuality is a genetic condition, like skin or eye color. This deception has been nurtured over the years by the pro-homosexual major media.

And its a belief that is impossible to argue. I have discussed this with intelligent people, and they refuse to believe that outside elements have anything to do with sexual preference. It baffles me with how little we know about human behavior, that some people can take the extreme position they know that it is all about genetics. Human behavior is much more complex than that and science refutes a real strong genetic link.

If there IS a gay gene, will the homosexual community suddenly become pro-life?

It's obviously some mix of nature and nurture.

The NYT ran a Science Times story years ago about a lesbian professor who doesn't want homosexuality restricted to a genetic explanation, leaving the option open for "lifestyle" choices. Reality is gays will scream genetics as a basis for civil rights protection, but they want to promote the gay lifestyle and increase gay numbers. My goodness, can anyone seriously doubt that when hundreds of films and tv shows are constantly promoting the idea that lesbian sex is a wonderful thing that every schoolgirl or grown woman just has to try?

I believe I heard this Bennet guy on an obscure conservative radio program this morning (Steve Kane in South Florida).

I have never been convinced that a "real" gay person could convert into a hetero, but this guy has changed my mind. I have seen other "converts" who basically still seemed gay, just pretending to be straight, but this guy sounded like the real deal.

Does "Gay Gene" Really Exist?

No matter what the militant homosexuals think, wish, hope and pray, the answer will always be NO.

Oh yeah, and I know this pair of IDENTICAL twin girls. One is a completely feminine straight girl, the other is something of a dyke (real lesbian). They both have emotional problems. In fact, I'd say that all the lesbians I have known have had disfunctional upbringings.

Honestly, I have a feeling that sexual identity and preference can have a PHYSICAL component, not neccessarily genetic. I feel there are probably some people who exist somewhere on a sexual preference continuum, between hardcore hetero's and homo's. Maybe something in their physical makeup makes them a bit more prone than the other person to become gay. My first gay friend just LOOKED the part, and this was way before he came out of the closet, I suspect he had hormonal imbalances.

At best, I see homosexuality as a kind of birth defect, at worst, a cynical choice. But lets say it is a birth defect, do we have people doing "Thalidimide Pride" day?

Some would say a gay gene exists just the same as a gene that leads someone to drink excessively, smoke, get hooked on drugs or gambling or sex or food.

Myself, I think it is up to us to figure out what Gods wants us to do with our lives, obey his natural order and follow it.

And if you can't figure out you don't feed the back end of a mule, then you got some praying to do to help you figure it out.

Usually they change their name to something less masculine.

If I recall correctly, I have seen studies indicating that about 30% of gay men were unwilling victims of homosexual pedophilia. If there is a "gay gene", these guys didn't inherit it; it was "learned."

My favorite Fox and Frieds quote:

"You fix one pipe, it don't make you a plumber". (In response to "does one gay experience make you gay?)

I suspect that there are both types of homosexuality, some hereditary and some by choice or environment. I had a friend who told me that she suspected that her five year old son was going to be gay. She said that she could just tell by his behavior. A while later, I met her ex-husband who had been physically abusive and told her that it was no wonder he left her, he's Gay. She knew that her son was going to be Gay, but didn't know that her husband was Gay. A few years later, she wrote me and told me that I was right, that he had admitted it.

Then there is that article that was posted on FreeRepublic about a month ago, about the study that showed that over forty percent of homosexuals claimed to have been sexually abused by an older male before the age of fourteen. That's definitely an environmental influence. Then there is the just plain choice group. Lesbianism is becoming cool in some ultra liberal groups and that is definitely just a life style choice. I can't tell you how many men that we have run into that live double lives, married but Gay. I guess they can't make up their minds.

Does a "Gay Gene" Really Exist?

Yes but it can't procreate and is forbidden to marry another gay gene.
