I'll add my opinion to the 2000 plus responses so far ... Hannity has a conservative gig going ... he lies thru his teeth when he states that he hasn't checked in on FR in months. BS ... he uses FR for show prep. If he isn't doing it personally, which I doubt, then his staff is. Hannity is a full blown phony ... if I listen to him again, it will be only because he follows Rush and I didn't change stations quickly enough. Hannity can kiss my butt bye-bye.

With respect to the usual discourse dealing with the criminal alien problem and the proposed NRST I believe he has a point, that is, those in favor of open borders and GWB suck ups dismiss any rational law and order arguments against open borders and amnesty as "racist" in motivation. Those who are on someones pay ledger in support of the so-called Fairtax dismiss any rational argument as retro and "the enemy". All of this derision and poor practice destroys the purpose of this forum.

There are seldom any reasonable discussions taking place anymore where questions are asked and answers are received .

I also think others here have made equally good points about Sean himself as well. Personally, I can't stand listening to him for all of the reasons stated. He is almost like an Imus clone who can only talk about himself and his most recent project like the "ranch" and so forth.

I quit listening to Hannity waaaay back in 2001 or maybe it was 2002. He had said something on his show and I e-mailed him asking him a question about it. He didn't respond so I e-mailed him again asking him the question again. Since he never did have the decency to respond to my e-mails, I figured since he won't give me any of his time I will not give him any of mine.

The irony is that the numerous hateful posts on this thread prove Hanity's point. FR is being overrun by a short-fused fringe that forgets why JimRob set up FR in the first place.

I've been lurking and/or posting at FR for 6 years now and there hasn't been much change in the posting quality. I came here because I got banned from Lucy by posting another site where people were posting conservative thought but competition and interaction was not allowed .

Ludicrous. And over my considerable tenure here, I know a lot more about the personalities and interplay on FR than Hannity ever would, and this relative moderate is "sensitive" to fringe and nut cases. When they emerge, they are almost invariably challenged and subjected to debate, to the extent that they are not rather rapidly banned (sometimes rather too rapidly IMO). You are just wrong Sean. Period.

I will say one thing in Hannity's defense - I noticed when I first joined FR that this site does have a tendency to "eat its own" - especially when it's a hot political season.

So I begrudgingly must give him that small point.

However, I think that the majority of us are just regular folk who agree with the president most of the time; and when we don't agree, we trust his character and leadership enough to give his side a fair hearing.

I think the majority of us are not BushBots with no minds of our own. I don't think we tow the party line 100% of the time - I think we are "intellectually honest"...

So for the rest of what Hannity said, I think he needs to visit FR again and see what we are now - a solid group of conservatives who, for the most part, respect each others opinions and ideas...

Well, FINALLY I got the sound bite to play on the media player.

My response is disappointment. Seems he's attacking this site and people in a hope to get people to participate on his site.

It was attacking others for the purpose of self promotion and nothing else.
