But to ask questions about it certainly doesn't do any damage, does it?
Is it there? How much if anything is caused by man? How should we deal with it, if at all? What effects would Kyoto have?
Reasoned enquiry is seldom negative IMHO.
Do you think Lomborg is a leftist kook for working on these issues?
Cheers.

Let's see some proof. Remember, the key is that global warming is alleged to be the result of human activity. This in turn has political implications across the board, and globally. Otherwise global warming would simply be a non-political subject. Furthermore, you say "a majority of scientists". Whose opinion was solicited in coming to this conclusion? And how many of those scientists are invested in the acceptance of human-agency global warming? Of those who are not making a dollar off of it, how many are even qualified to make an assessment? The Earth has too many atmospheric, biological, geological, and astronomic variables to make any such conclusion in the absence of hard proof. And if there were any hard proof, a) we'd have seen it already, and b) it would be a lot more than a simple majority of scientists who agreed.

This reminds me of how older siblings say to the youngest...
"Thing were so much better around here until YOU came along! We had ice cream every meal, we took vacations twice a year and got to stay up until midnight. Now things stink and it's ALL YOUR FAULT!"

think about it! we really fell for it this time! Not at all!
His criticisms created the thing he deplores.
We are like a family, dysfunctional at times. But we defend our home.
He knew what he was doing, and we don't care, beyond that.
We will continue to grow and prosper. He will get a few ads that will go away once they see the error they made.

Sean is just jealous.
He comes on after Rush. After Rush and the previous days news on Free Republic, Sean seldom has anything new to talk about.

Sent him the link to this post. Is that allowed, or will I be eaten by my own? Told him not to bash the FReepers.

Length of time on this forum has nothing to do with having "authority".
Length of time here has nothing to do with a discerning mind or not. You either have one or you don't. Prairiebreeze has one.
See my #716.

I heard him say this within the context of talking about the forum on his web site. Personally, I think he's trying to get FReepers upset enough to go to his forum so he can increase his membership and get more hits to his web site.

I am lucky, in Houston we have the most excellent Dan Patrick at 4p.m (700 am). Dan is a good man and a solid heavy weight conservative. As an added plus O'Reily is on 2-4. I know a lot of FReepers don't like O'Rielly (I think he was wrong about the swifties too). But O'Reilly is good.

By the way, whatever happened to the NewsMax board. A couple of years ago they took it down because they were making "improoooovements" (as Michael Savage would say) but it never came back up.

FR is a source of news, sure, but it is also a great form of entertainment and a chance to be express ourselves in ways that we normally couldn't do out in the "real" world.Very well said. I love the "camaraderie" as much as anything else

For all who miss it, the link to his clip is
post number 646.
It was a sleazy tactic. It's straight out of the dem playbook. He didn't harm us, look at the stats I posted here, and here.

probably because he thinks "slow" if it's not in his notes.Right on!
F. Lee usually has to finish Hannity's sentences for him.

Just to help reach the 1000 post threshold. I posted on a Hannity thread the other day that Sean shouldn't have gone to Vermont for a skiing trip he took over the holidays. Their two US Senators Jumping Jeffords and Leakly Leahy demands that one not spend a dime in that state.

A "run-of-the-mill NeoCon" ? Please don't lower yourself to Hannity's level. You're better than that!
No, I'm proud to be a NeoCon. A real NeoCon, not the neocon that people falsely define us as but the NeoCon in the economic sense of the word.
One of these days I'll write an editorial setting the record strait as to what a NeoCon really is. I've had a lot of requests, but no time.

Sean Hannity is a self serving jerk. This is certainly the premier conservative, news discussion website and it's pretty low of him to say something a liberal would say about a conservative forum. It's not a defense of him but it is true that the prevailing view on here for a long time seems to have been that Sean is an empty suit (he is) and I'm sure he's noticed that.
My wife would normally like Sean because he's a good looking All American conservative type. But she says he's unwatchable and stupid, never lets even a friendly guest make their point, is totally self serving. When I hear him devote an entire radio show to how modest he is (while simultaneously he is busy obnoxiously blowing his own horn) I want to throw up. The more he goes on about what a wonderful true blue guy he is the more I suspect he's a snake.
