[I don't think I have ever seen the farthest left liberal trashed this bad.]

And aren't some of us proving his assertion ? Nevermind all this attention he is getting. In his defense, he clearly stated there are many good freepers. So does the reaction come down to our own self-perception of being one of the good 'Freeps' or one of the those who 'eat our own' ? Or is this merely a jump on the bandwagon mob reaction ? Even if you do not like Hannity, he is a conservative, are we not providing him ammunition to back up his comment ?

Personally, think it was an innocuous and self-serving comment on his part. Do you really think he didn't know it might cause a little uproar ? From the looks of this thread, it looks like he succeeded.

If we are not careful, we could end up doing what the left/democrats have done, become a fractured and divided group. My advice, unsolicited of course, don't lose sight of political reality, to continue advancing the conservative agenda, we need unity. We do not want to become the new coming of the democrat party and be intolerant of dissent among our own ranks. Let the left stay divided while we stay united.

The one day I miss the entire show and a revolution breaks out. Now I know how Rush feels when he goes on vacation. At least he was on vacation, I worked harder today than I have in 6 months.

But it was worth it; and I guess I don't mind missing Hannity, if this is his bad attitude.

Just checked out Sean's site. I am "NANSY PANSY" but please don't tell anyone. I think I am safe there. No one has tried to eat me yet.

When things get real hot around here the media types take shots at us to distance themselves from here remember when Rush did this a couple of years back.It is CYA tactics if you listen to rush you know he still reads this board most of his material is from here.

The timing is absolutely perfect for Hannity.

1. FR got in the national news over Baltimore mayor O'Malley's possible affair.

2. ALIPAC's Director William Gheen and (Banned from FR) former house candidate Nathan Tabor team up for a hit piece. Gheen's a professional politician in NC and runs a PAC and a message board. Tabor's newspaper/blog has a small following. Both look for hits and donations, and FR has a major split over the Immigration issue. The thread is still going in the Smokey Backroom at 3000+ posts.

3. There's a group of anti-freepers that are obsessed with taking down FR. TLBSHOW for one.

4. Some freepers are thin skinned about criticism. That's why this thread is at 1300 posts. Some of them are going to Hannity's thread - if not to post to read the comments. The AF'ers are going there to trash FR. More ad money goes to Sean. Is Hannity's rant a coincidence? I doubt it. Strike when the iron is hot.

Don't be surprised if some well connected people on all sides of the political spectrum come after a site like FR. FR is a dangerous place for some.

Why? Simple...putting aside some harmless fluff, and funny stuff, and nice pics of Laura, Ann, and Michelle... you have some serious people coming together to intelligently discuss and debate policy...INDEPENDENT of the MSM, the talking heads, the pundits, and the politicians.

When people each bring their 'insider' knowledge and experience together...information gets exchanged and opinions get influenced. Plus...alot of us aren't afraid to think independently or outside the box.

That makes some people nervous.

"Sean, do you have any idea the daunting task it is to monitor over 500,000 members? You might be able to manage your 2-300, but good luck if it grows beyond that."

Yup. Let's go Freep Sean! No, let's go Freep DU and get them to go DU Sean! No, Let's go join Sean, then SeanFreep DU, who will DU Sean! No! No! Wait! I'm confuzzled! We'll see how Sean the Brainiac does.

FreeRepublic is a thinking machine that considers all angles of a problem, hashing and rehashing ideas until the good stuff eventually pops out.

Well said. That's what was most ridiculous about the MSM claim during Rathergate that the Freepers and bloggers in pajamas don't have fact-checkers or editors; on the contrary, we have tons of fact-checking that is done almost instantaneously, and by parties far more rigorous and less biased than the MSM types.

I quit listening to Hannity years ago. He's about as intellectually shallow as you can get and generally gets destroyed rhetorically when up against even a semblance of intellectual opposition.

Adios pretty boy...you, your books, and your self-promoting schtick have reached the top of your parabolic fame curve. Frankly, I rather listen to &Colmes.

You're right. To say there's "a few good freepers" is quite different than saying there's a few fringe ones. I'll admit to listening to his show when I get home from work, but until he apologizes to Free Republic, not any more.

It's unfortunate for Sean that he referred to FR so negatively on the very same day that ABC's online blog praised this site.

ABC's blog said that Democrats have learned to use bloggers but no one beats the Freepers, not even Kos.

http://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1344565/posts

Sean's timing sort of reminds me of Al Gore's. Lousy.

LOL.

Nansy Pansy. You must watch Boston Public.

When I tried to check out Sean's site, I had to give a credit card number to even view the comments over there. Is that right or am I missing something?

"I see our friend escaped the clutches of the evil Keystone Terrorists."

LOL, it is great that he escaped. Now he will be the most famous action figure of all time.

Did you read the hilarious piece attributed to Sgt. Cody, or whatever his name is? It was posted here and it was done to perfection.

He said he didn't like people being frank with each other, so it picked up his toys and left.
