Everyone I know, has at least one gay family member. That is how widespread the gay community is.
Not in my family. Only in some of the families I know, not all. As they are about 3-5% of the population, that seems about right.
I haven't met anyone who was gay since I was in college, many moons ago. Even then, they tended to date the opposite sex and being gay was far more political than practical for them.
I guess it's all in who you know. There aren't any gays in my family. Not any of my cousins, aunts, uncles, parents, grandparents or great grandparents. None who ever even gave rise to a doubt. None in my wife's family. I can only think of two guys my age in the neighborhood I grew up in that were doubtful. I know one of them had quite a few girlfriends in highschool and married a woman.
You need to pick some news friends,
Homosexuals compromise less than 2% of the total population AND 2% of that 2% CHOOSE it AND could CHOOSE to reject it
My family has no gay members, but my best friend became a homosexual and moved to Hollywood. My middle daughter is heterosexual with a boyfriend, but has nearly all gay friends and is a liberal Democrat.
We can't choose our relatives.
