Religion of Peace?Colin Feguson was a Muslim?
Some people here will be almost distraught with disappointment if and when (as is likely) it turns out to have nothing to do with Islam. Nice try.

"Shot one round and "machine gun" just don't quite go together. " Maybe the shooter got off one round....then all the CCWers opened fire....
Like in that Steve Martin movie at the wedding in TX....or the wedding scene in Kill Bill Vol I.

But this is probably the work of white Christian conservative gun owner types.NRA members too.
More'n likely. They probably also belong to Gun Owners of America, have more than one gun each and posses more than a hundred rounds of ammunition at home. Also, they have no criminal record and have never been convicted of a felony. They would like concealed weapon permits available to the law abiding, trained citizens of their state and others. They are also registered voters.
(/sarcasm)

I doubt that there is ONE news reader or news writer in the country that would know the difference between a machine gun, an assault weapon, a pseudo-(I.E. ugly but semi-auto) assault weapon, A sub-machine gun, or a high capacity pistol with the trigger pulled rapidly.
Plus saying the words machine-gun is guaranteed to get everyone excited, increasing the drama and increasing ratings .
A young lady who was there being interviewed on FOX just a moment ago said she thought it was just pistols...
So, there ya go.
Idiot news readers and news writers.
God bless all the victims and their families.

Colin worked alone. This is more frightening.

At least ten shot, probably more. Point is the story says machine guns were used, but a witness claims one attacker had a handgun.
But headline focuses on machine guns as the weapon...

This is probably one of those malls where the mall owners have posted "NO FIREARMS".They have a sign like that on my bank door. I have to laugh everytime I go in.

In Maryland, back during the sniper scare, the state cops were displaying standard 30-06 deer rifles and claiming that these were the types of 'high powered' rifles that were being used.
They were soliciting help from anyone who might know someone who owned this type of 'weapon'.
The cops were showing up and taking peoples rifles. One person had the news cameras waiting on them and the cops called the person aside and threated the daylights out of them until they asked the camera crews to leave.
The truth is that we should expect everything and give nothing away where our gun rights are involved.
Not one more gun law.

Preliminary reports are that there were multiple wounded.
