A liberal - To the Republican community.
1. What are your goals as Republicans?
2. Is your goal to make Liberals to leave America?
3. If you want us to stay, when does this country go too far to the right?
4. If you want us to leave, will the US government pay for our plane tickets?
equal opportunity, this is good. How can we promote equal oppurtuniy?
I'm assuming you all are serious about promoting this. Also Dr.Rice is exceptional. Do you really think the average American is going to be a genius like Dr.Rice? I don't even think George Bush is as smart as Dr.Rice. By equal opportunity I mean, if you all believe Dr. Rice is great and smart, if she ran for President could she win? If you say you'd vote for her then thats a start.
The second question we have to ask is, what is the secret to Dr. Rice's success? Finally the third question is how can we get more women in office? I think there are lots of women just as qualified as Dr. Rice. I also know that most of us can agree that Obama is qualified. How do we make sure that people who are qualified can move up?
Hydrogen dioxide is ozone. I think it causes global warming or global cooling or death to women, children, and minorities.
Fair enough, I tend assume that everyone here is a Republican, and it undoubtedly leads to the occasional error. However, I think it's safe to say that the vast majority of freepers consider themselves to be Republicans.
Second mistake. I get it, big time. And you can take that to the bank.
Ok you get it.
And I don't need any flower power, hippy speak for me. You can express your opinion in these forums and I shall do the same. I won't speak for you and don't you be so presumptious as to speak for me.
Flower power hippy speak? Either you're just being hostile for hostility's sake, or you're reading way too much into what I wrote. I was just being nice. It's Sunday morning, I'm in a good mood, I'm off to church in a bit and then I'm going to see my granddaughter, so you'll just have to excuse my good cheer and optimism. But hippy speak? Hardly.
Your sensitivity to the homosexual lifestyle tells me all I need to know about you.
And what does it tell you? Please, I'd really love to know.
well, here's a laundry list of things I'd like to force you twerps to do:
1. QUIT CALLING YOURSELVES "LIBERAL" - you are not. You are an amalgamation of freakish social interests united by the realization that you can vote yourselves entitlements, ruled by an elite of damn-near-Nobility who themselves use the political capital you surrender to them to incrementally destroy this republic through the institution of socialism, with the end result of creating what Nobles and Statists always want: an inverted-T shaped power and wealth hierarchy, with them at the top AND EVERYBODY ELSE IN THE MUDSILL.
2. If you wish to leave: LEAVE. If you wish to stay: STAY. Your presence or absence is essentially secondary to my goal of stripping your puppetmasters of credibility, gravitas, influence, and power - which in turn is merely a means to the end of restoring the government of this republic as much as possible to one in accord with the constitution as written by the founders: LIMITED TO A VERY FEW TASKS, WITH POWERS STRICTLY DEFINED AND CURTAILED. I'd like to force you twerps to either pitch in as a LOYAL opposition or get the [censored] out of my way.
3. If you want to stay, why do you idiots continue to dash madly (and I mean that in all senses of the term) farther and farther into the lunatic dimensions of the ultra-left? I want you to answer this question, right the hell now: Why do you hate healthy self-sustaining normality so much?
On Hating Liberals:
Any chronologically mature person who is still a liberal after 9/11 richly deserves all the hatred one can muster. I hate liberals just as I hate Nazis or Islamists.
They are my enemy. They wish to destroy the US. Yes it is that simple. They believe in a socialist utopia which could only be formed if the US as we know it, and as our Founding Fathers conceived it, was utterly wiped away.
So, I hate them. I'm glad so many loving FReepers can be so tolerant and tell this inarticulate DUmass how they don't want him to leave but actually I am not impressed by your politcally correct ass kissing.
All my tolerance for leftists went out the window on 9/11. We are at war with an enemy that is fully capable of wiping us out. Not just as a nation but as a civilization. Leftists are not on our side. They are the enemy.
WELL SAID!
of course, what they espouse is liberalism in name only.
what it really is is collectivism/statism.
which is, in effect, them volunteering everyone but their puppetmasters to serve as serfs.
that crap has to GO.
What do Democrats want?
Do you want to make conservatives to leave, or just want us to die?
When would the government be too big for you?
Aside from free air fare, what else do you think the government should pay for? Do you think everything belongs to the government?
You lost any hope of redemption with that statement.
Obama is a socialist baby killer.
I don't say that lightly. Just look at his record in Illinois.
Secondly, 60 years of liberalism didn't help anyone out of poverty. If anything, it trapped a great many in poverty. Liberals have never offered a solution to poverty.
Ping
Come on over.
Yes, it is typical, but I have no problem adopting a liberal for this cause and purchasing their one way ticket out of here.
First off, let's get terminology straight. Communication requires clear communication.
A: As conservatives, we are not neccessarily Republicans, so it is incorrect to use this terminology as a reference to the movement that is currently underway in this country. The term 'Liberal' is just as false. In fact, classical liberalism has a whole lot more in common with American conservatism than the philosophical core of the Democratic Party which is, at this time, patently Leftist.
Now, to address the body of the post...
"These are 4 questions only Republicans can answer, this means only the Republican community."
A: We are a community only to the extent that we are freedom loving Americans. Many of us disagree, sometime violently, with Republican leadership and policy. None of us, however, disagree with our Founder's vision of freedom and liberty.
"The goal is to build a framework of civil communication between Liberals and Republicans."
A: In nearly 30 years of conservative political convictions, I can hardly remember a handful of "liberal" (your incorrect term) examples of "civil communication" when discussing issues with a genuine conservative. Most often, at the height of Democrat power, a token conservative such as Bill Buckley might be displayed much as a sympathetic black person at a wine and cheese fund raiser.
"Do Republican plan to share this country or should Liberals leave?"
A: A loaded question and highly indicative of your basic assumptions. FYI, you are welcome to stay as long as you keep your illicit use of power out of American government, private lives and personal pockets. If you are a Leftist, however, you would certainly be happier living somewhere that takes care of you in line with a collectivist philosophy. I guess the question needing to asked is: If you disagree with the foundational tenets of American liberty and governance, do you really want to stay?
Now for the questions...
1. "What are your goals as Republicans?"
A: Your incorrect terminology fails to give a basis for a full answer. To be precise (and in the context of your question), Republican goals would be to take all public offices in any political race against Democrats and enact the platforms of the Republican Party. What conservatism's goals are would be broader but simpler. We wish to return the nation to its foundational organization and eliminate as much governmental control over lives as possible under the doctrine and directives of the "...enumerated powers...".
2. "Is your goal to make Liberals to leave America?"
A: Already answered. Do you plan on leaving?
3. "If you want us to stay, when does this country go too far to the right?"
A: Get that silly notion of 'right and left' out of your noggin. All government is the excercise of power and all government gravitates to excess and usurpation of personal liberties. On the true continuum of Totalitarian Statehood going to Anarchy, America was definitely on the side that favored personal freedoms. There will never be a stopping point for conservative activism until government is chained and contained in its proper position - that of service to freedom and the expansion of individual liberties.
4. "If you want us to leave, will the US government pay for our plane tickets?"
A: Not as a policy of government. However, we have been robbed for decades to finance Leftist schemes so we are quite generous with you folks. Organize a fund raiser and we'll likely contribute.
No, but taxes don't have to be raised. I'm all for having the least amount of taxes required to have a functional country. I just don't see how we can have a functional country when people don't even get the basics.
well put.
Thanks Jim!
I was hoping you had made an appearance on this thread :)
Naw, just put your money where your mouth is...we're still waiting for all the volunteer emigrants to leave first....then we'll think about what to do with the rest of ya. If only those who SAID they'd leave could even tell the truth about that....but lying and liberals go hand in hand.
