Hey, good to hear from you because I do think about you and wonder how you are holding up. Thank you for the update.
Good luck, and keep us posted.
Our best wishes and prayers, Joe.
I remember you. Our prayers are with you and your family. Will be looking for your update.
thank you for the heads up Howlin.. and Joe, please know that you will be on our prayer list & many at various churches and prayer groups around the US...
BillyBob can get together the NC troops to see if you need anything while at Duke.... I am sorry at such a young age you are going through all of this. I am sure your family is worried...but I hope you can all keep your eyes on the Lord through this.
Blessings on you and yours, and strength.
I had one of those "stay awake" operations and they're not really all that bad. I was a little apprehensive....well....no, I was scared to death, but that's because I was a chicken. LOL I'm sure you'll do just fine. :-)
To be blunt I received from your words an inner view not only of your concern for your present condition but more importantly your solid belief that you have for a bright and continuing future with your present and extended family.
My best to you and my prayer is for the surgeons hands to be guided by the One who holds all the power in the universe in His hands Jesus Christ our Lord!
I ask for good success in your recovery and praise God for His goodness and for His wonderful works to the children of men.
VOYAGER
Best of luck to you. Please keep us posted.
Prayers sent. Good luck too!
Thanks for making us aware of the situation. We'll keep a good thought and remember you and yours in our prayers. Great to hear that your loved ones are rallying. Having been through several medical crises in my family, I know that the tough times bring out the best in good people.
Prayers...
Hopefully, the doctors'll get 100 percent of it out and you won't have to do anything further, and you'll then be in good health.
Prayers are being said for your ordeal.
Wishing you the best luck.
We'll be praying for you and for your doctors.
God bless, friend. Duke is where my first wife & I went for her cancers, both of 'em. Although a stroke got her, their treatment of malignancies is ( was ) second to none. You're in good hands.
Joe,
My husband was diagnosed with a low grade ependymoma in his brain nearly 13 years ago. He underwent two brain surgeries, 1 spinal surgery (it had spread), and a full course of radiation on the brain and spine.
In 1999 he had 9 months of chemo, and last year he had two more surgeries on his spine and more radiation due to recurrance. After all of that, I am happy (and very thankful to God) to report that he is still going strong and has no significant disability whatsoever.
Back in 1992, before he had the second brain surgery, some surgeons had said the tumor was inoperable, but we went to a world class surgeon at UC San Francisco and most of the remaining tumor was removed. That turned out to be an excellent decision.
We've learned that these slow growing tumors can be managed somewhat like a chronic disease. Even though you may be having a slight setback now, it doesn't mean you won't be just fine long term. My husband is doing great.
I'll pray for you...the Good Lord is so faithful to provide for all our needs! Also, when my husband was diagnosed, my 2 daughters were just babies. If your wife would like someone to talk to, I'd be happy to do so. I know that it can be really hard on the spouse of someone going through something like this.
Blessings!
You will be in my prayers. As will your family.
You have my prayers.
