Maureen Dowd, the very cute but impossibly shrewish columnist for The New York Times, has a problem with sex.
Dowd is in a dither because female military interrogators used their feminine wiles on Muslim detainees at the Guantanamo Bay prison camp. Which is a great plan because terrorists tend to be so uptight about earthly women that they prefer the 72 virgins waiting for them in heaven.
Great plan, unless the suspects are gay.
Or unless our chicks look like Abu Ghraib prison guard Lyndie England.
In a recent column, Dowd wrote that, " ... female interrogators used a toxic combination of sex and religion to try to break Muslim detainees at the U.S. prison camp in Cuba. It's not merely disgusting. It's beyond belief."
Actually, it's like one of those letters that begins, "Dear Playboy, You are not going to believe this, but ... ."

I'm a US military officer, and I'd do one hell of a lot more to try to protect this nation than just demean myself.

I heard her on a panel after the election in November, one of those "why did we lose" type of things. In all seriousness, aside from a somewhat grating voice, she was inarticulate and had only banalities to offer. At one point she just basically said, "I don't know what to make of it."
A day or two or ago there were several hundred on here calling Condi beautiful, but you're not willing to concede a "cute" to MD?

Now hold on. My middle daughter graduated from Randolph Macon Women's College and she is definitely not frumpy or ugly. She was a feminist; however, she has now seen the light and is a conservative Republican who has shown her liberal Democrat husband the light as well. :) She has made her mama proud!
With a better hair style and better make up and more stylish clothes she is indeed a very attractive lady. I thought she looked very lovely at the inaugural ball.
I know you guys just love KZJ, but isn't she a liberal dem. just like her husband? I take it that if a woman looks like her, you don't care what her politics are?

Ye Gods! Let me refer you to my psychiatrist. He has done wonders for me. :) I am now a happy person, floating around in my own little bubble, not bothering anyone, just enjoying the simple things in life.

You (and Mo) are assuming that the terrorist prisoner is telling the truth. That assumption may well be in error.
These guys seem to characteristically tell rather colorful, almost apocalyptic lies. Something to do with the florid and expressive Arab language, I suppose...
