NEW YORK, February 4, 2005 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Last week pro-lifers reacted with disdain when Hillary Clinton belatedly attempted to modify, at least in the public eye, her militant support for abortion. She failed to impress with her sincerity when she called abortion a tragic choice for women and suggested abortifacient contraceptives as a solution. Exit polls showing voter interest in moral issues has shaken Democrat confidence in their leftist social agenda.
This week, former presidential candidate John Kerry, still calling himself a Catholic, followed the new Democratic Party policy in attempting to use pro-life language to continue pushing their agenda of unrestricted abortion. Kerry claims that the Democrats have talked about this for a long period of time.
Kerrys remarks came in an interview on NBCs Meet the Press. The discussion is not about being pro-abortion. The discussion is about how you truly value life. Valuing life is also valuing choice. Valuing life is the exception for the life of a mother or rape or incest, he said.
Can anyone make out what he is trying to say? said Samantha Singson a spokesperson for Canadas Campaign Life Coalition. These people are just proving with every word that they dont have even the concept of a moral framework. They cannot even convincingly pretend to be moral people. I think they should stop trying before they embarrass themselves further, she said.
Singson said the incident reminded her of a quote from the famed Star Trek character Mr. Spock who said, "a civilized man can pretend to be a barbarian, but no barbarian can pretend to be a civilized man.

Speechless!
Extending the battle to contraception insures failure.
somebody ask ms.clinton and mr. lurch to answer yes or no if a bill to ban abortion came up in the senate how would you vote?
game, set, match
end of their doublespeak
LOL!!!!
Hillary is trying to reinvent herself for her 2008 run!
These people are just proving with every word that they dont have even the concept of a moral framework." The perfect description of the Democratic Party.
War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength. -- Everybody repeat after Big Brother.
How Orwellian, that could be a quote from "1984". Choice is code for murdering unborn babies, of course, so that means that valuing life = valuing death, doesn't it?
A better Star Trek quote that captures the spirit of the Dems at that moment is:
Pure, honest hatred. Very refreshing!"
This is certainly the zeitgeist of the Deaniac wing of the party.
AOL News ran with the "Clinton reaches out to pro-life" story in their usual lapdog fashion. But they used a horrible picture of her heinous. Was a gas.
Of course she is ... and what is funny to see is Kerry react to everything she says and does with this "me too! me too!" approach.
Actually no, that should be 'valuing life = valuing murder'.
hope so.
"Valuing life is also valuing choice."
Only a liberal Democrat can think like this.
Or maybe I'm incapable of Kerry's Nuanced thinking.
Let's see if I got this straight: Kerry values the life he chooses to allow live? I keep thinking that's what Hitler's concept of life was, or for that matter, the Islamo-fascists.
Who wants to outlaw contraception?

Liberals? Faith agenda? Please.
It becomes clearer why lefties pushed moral relativity on the culture, and inculcated our youth in our schools. It's easier to justify the Dims amoral agenda when the difference between right and wrong has been blurred (they hoped).
Now the left is engaged in situational ethics, deciding rightness and wrongness, determining faith-based beliefs, but on their make-it-up-as-we-go-along terms......not on eternal Biblical terms that are the bulwark of Western Civilization. It ain't gonna work, not when Dims are tied to the abortion agenda, the pro-homo movement, Hollywarped, and other members of the hate-Christians cabal.
We must be strong in our faith and beliefs to topple this moral relativist Democrat monster in our midst.
Here's something interesting that may be motiviating Dims, the reason why Dumbocrats are talking "faith."
Conservative pro-life Christian voters made monumental contributions to GWB's 2004 vote totals. Pres Bush won with 63 Million Votes (13 million more than 2000).
The map, though impressive, conveys the misleading impression that blue state Catholics voted for Kerry (a CINO).
According to EWTN "The World Over Live" analysts, with the exception of VA, where Catholics spit 70/30 in favor of Bush, the majority of Catholic voters split 55/45 for Bush.....a whopping number of votes since Catholics number about 52 million Americans.
According to CNN exit polls, Bush voters included 38% of union members, 40% of those with union members in their households, 42% of those earning $15,000-$30,000, 44% of those who earn under $50,000 and 44% of Latinos, 45% of youth (aged 18-29), 13% of liberalseven 11% of Democrats voted for Bush.
If you look closely, the map appears to place the insignificant "Other Voters" in the ocean.....that's accurate, because "Other Voters--RINO Republicans" were on cruise ships.
(MAP UPDATE Bush won Ohio, Iowa and New Mexico later.)
