Of course it was staged, so what.

Well, putting both in the First Lady's booth was no accident, but the emotion shown by both was certainly not staged...if there's a person here that didn't at least get choke up, they have no soul.
My girlfriend and I were both crying on the couch during that whole deal, especially when we saw the President get tears in his eyes...

Not according to the women who hugged one another. You're as bad as Matthews.

No it wasn't staged. THe woman obviously reached down to hug the other woman on the spur of the moment.

Can you prove what you just said?

The Soldiers Mother said She didn't know the other Woman was going to be there, and i believe Her.
Funny that Chris matthews didn't say the same for John F'n Kerry's "Staged walk through a Vietcong Village" wearing a Flak Jacket and bandolier trying to look like Rambo. Having someone video tape Him. That was much more Obvious...so Why didn't the Media Genius Matthews catch that?
Because He is a Partizan Liberal Biased Jerk.

Any clear thinking person watching that moment unfold could tell it was NOT staged. Most of us FReepers are political animals, thus the cynicism but there's no doubt in my mind that was a genuine moment (and now we have the Marine's parents confirming it).

The mother of a Marine who died liberating Iraq and who provided the emotional high point of Wednesday night's State of the Union Address when she hugged a grateful Iraqi voter sitting in the gallery, denied Thursday morning that the unforgettable episode had been staged, as several left-leaning commentators have alleged.

So the parents of a dead son, lied about their participation in a ceremony to that honored him. Ya think?
