tid bit from AOL news....
Even as they celebrated the vote, a few Democrats questioned the price paid by American soldiers to win Iraq's freedom.
"We all applaud the Iraqi people for their elections, but Americans want to know if all that death and destruction was necessary to bring about elections or if there could have been free elections - as the Palestinians had - without such costs?'' asked Rep. Charles Rangel, D-N.Y.

Gee Charlie, how the hell could the Palestinians hold their free election? Did it have anything to do with their top dog, their top terrorist supporting militiant leader (Arafat) finally being out of power and thankfully DEAD? Could that have anything to do with it? hmmmm.....

The palestinians had free elections without deaths? Hmm, how many Isrealies did they homicide bomb????? That may not have had direct effect on elections, but still..
To: Roop
Even I teared up when that Iraqi woman hugged the soldiers mother. A very touching moment indeed.
And then the democrats proceed to open their stupid mouths and ruin the night for everybody.

So why didn't you tell us how this could be done before you war, you freakin MO-ron? What was your genius plan for having elections in Iraq without going to war?
Rangel, always a fool, has officially entered idiot territory. I have a feeling he'll be putting down roots.

I wonder if Rangel thinks that ending slavery was worth all the death and destruction of the CIvil War?

Boy I seem to remember a lot of Israel firepower to remove terrorist leaders each month, with more than a few Israeli casulties thrown in. Rangel is an ignorant fool.

And the infitada has cost Israel nothing? What a stupid, ignorant POS!!!! Go live in Israel for a month or so, Charlie, or better yet spend a month on patrol with the IDF. You'll come back (maybe) a better person for it. Or maybe you'd get that stray round you've been searching for.

Charles Rangel, D-N.Y. Perhaps the costs would have been less if Saddam had died of a "blood disease" and if the embargo hadn't been undercut by a bunch of dishonest folks.. (Maybe we should have built a wall around Iraq?)

without such costs?'' asked Rep. Charles Rangel, D-N.Y.To dismiss as nothing the hundreds, if not thousands, that have died there is absolutely pitiful, disgusting, disgraceful.
Charlie Rangel proves once again that he will do and say anything, no matter how vulgar or disgusting, merely for power. A small mind indeed.
To: Roop
Well, actually Charles, there could have been another way.
Bush could have had Saddam assassinated hopefully like Arafat was.
Oh, ya, your crowed made that illegal...

A Failed Plan, Rep. Rangel and Senators?
1. We took Iraq in less time than it took Janet Reno to take the Branch
Davidian compound. That was a 51-day operation.
2. It took less time to find evidence of chemical weapons in Iraq than it took
Hillary Clinton to find the Rose Law Firm billing records.
3. It took Teddy Kennedy longer to call the police after his Oldsmobile sunk at
Chappaquiddick than it took the 3rd Infantry Division and the Marines to
destroy the Medina Republican Guard.
4. We took Iraq in less time than it took to count the votes in Florida in the
year 2000!
And the Democrats called the Iraq effort a failed plan?

Charlie... you can't see the humanity of average Iraqis. We do. They have the same hunger for freedom and dignity that we do. And we're darned well not going to allow your party to denigrate, scorn and show contempt for the sacrifices of both our men and women in uniform in Iraq and for the Iraqi people who at great risk to their lives showed how hard it was for them to exercise a right Americans take for granted. You don't know the meaning of patriotism Charlie Rangel and neither does your party - that is if it could show any shame for doubting the capacity of free people to rise to the challenges of our times.

When will this buffoon go away? Never I guess. Incite 2 race riots that lead to the deaths of whites and accuse other whites of kidnapping and rape of a teenage truant. We could shock and awe the palestinkians but all of our foreign aid paid for their stuff and the gao would want an accounting. I thought that when he went on that hunger strike over vieques that he his cell mate would eat him and we'd be done with him. Boy, shoulda seen the look on there face when we closed the base.
