Do you generally lie?

I am in American Samoa right now.

The time difference to the east coast is 6 hours, last time I checked. The White House web site said it would begin the web cast at 8PM.

At 2PM I logged in and started a stream of what I thought was the live web cast. Because I'm at the office I can only half-listen to the stream.

It turns out the stream I was listening to earlier was the 2004 archive.

So, I didn't lie. I was mistaken because I was operating on the fact that the White House said 8PM, I calculated that as 2PM my time, and when I logged on to watch - I got what appears to have been the 2004 SOTU. Since the President's agenda hasn't changed in a year, and I was only half-paying attention I didn't catch any discrepancies.

Do you normally accuse people of lying when they might just have been mistaken?
