I am in American Samoa right now.
The time difference to the east coast is 6 hours, last time I checked. The White House web site said it would begin the web cast at 8PM.
At 2PM I logged in and started a stream of what I thought was the live web cast. Because I'm at the office I can only half-listen to the stream.
It turns out the stream I was listening to earlier was the 2004 archive.
So, I didn't lie. I was mistaken because I was operating on the fact that the White House said 8PM, I calculated that as 2PM my time, and when I logged on to watch - I got what appears to have been the 2004 SOTU. Since the President's agenda hasn't changed in a year, and I was only half-paying attention I didn't catch any discrepancies.
Do you normally accuse people of lying when they might just have been mistaken?
Woohoo!!!!!!! No legislation from the bench. Okay, he's punched my ticket. Can we get him for another four since the Rats say he wasn't elected the first time?
Hey...coconutt...I'm sure they misunderstood...you are so welcome here!!!
How could I have known it was possible to make such a mistake? Going to the website www.whitehouse.gov did NOT show the speech as already having been aired. Plus, I was waiting to watch it live, and I knew when he was expected to speak. I admit to my error, and I apologize.
You just made such an astounding statement, for anyone waiting to hear his speech all day.
but there' the occasional one that jumps the gun don't let 'em get to you.
How's the weather over there?
On second thought, I don't think I want to know - I'm in Maine and it's Feb. :o(
Was HE great or what1
