More and more good folks are finding out about Terri and that judicial tyranny would take her life, but for lots and lots of prayer and non-stop lobbying of relatives, friends, clergy, our leaders, the media, a passerby, a cashier - ANYONE who you feel comfortable chatting with.

Folks always want to know how can this be in America or on earth for that matter? Unfortunately, this is really happening to an innocent woman who just celebrated her 41st birthday. She's not the only one but she's the one with devoted parents and siblings who knows what's in Terri's heart. Terri has a strong will to live. That's apparent. It's been 14 years.

Besides, feeding tubes have been around practically since the Civil War. They are not high tech devices. Terri is "not hooked up to machines". Her feeding tube is the diameter of a piece of spaghetti.

Talkin' about Terri is the best way to lobby for her. It is a salespitch to save her life and subsequently, many lives. If you've never sold anything in your life, START NOW. START WITH TERRI.

AGAIN WE HAVE A NEW RECORD: 15,103 views on the tote board for the Terri Schindler Schiavo January Daily Thread!

The most significant event in Terri's case in January, was the Supreme's Courts refusal to hear Governor Jeb Bush's appeal, after the Florida State Legislature struck down Terri's Law. This once again places Terri's life in extreme jeopardy, though there are other issues regarding her case before the court.

When Jodi's turn comes, I won't weep for her. She has sat by silently allowing the abuse of Terri. She could stop it now simply by coming forward with what she knows. When her turn comes, it will be poetic justice.

It's been awhile since I've thought about Jodi, but she's the most significant aspect of this case I don't have a feel for. I wonder what her motivation is. It seems there could be several:

1. She may just be a very timid person
2. Michael may be threatening her or the children with physical harm should she fail to toe the line.
3. Michael may have something with which to blackmail her
4. She may have left an "insurance" envelope with someone (an envelope which that person would forward to the police should she meet an untimely demise).
5. She may be planning on abandoning and blackmailing Michael from a safe, possibly foreign, location as soon as Terri is dead.

Depending upon Jodi's motivation, I wonder if she could become an ally. If she's going along with Michael because she fears he'll harm her otherwise, I wonder if she might be convinced that turning state's evidence would be the best way to protect her and her children, since otherwise she'd always risk Michael turning on her as he did Terri.

Maybe it's just wishful thinking, but if Jodi were to start singing, that could help Terri's supporters overcome a lot of obstacles.

Your points are another reason why she and Micahel don't show up for depositions. She knows too much and she can be dangerous to Michael. He has to keep control of not just what he says, but what she says, too.

Not once before 1997 did Michael Schiavo ever make the claim, that Terri said she didn't want to live with a feeding tube...... In 1995, he made no mention that Terri "didn't want to live" when he gave the orders not to treat Terri for an infection. It was only after George Felos, a right-to-die lawyer, got involved that the subject of removing Terri Schiavo's feeding tube even come up........

Michael Schiavo, his brother, and his sister-in-law were all closed-mouth about any kind of "death wish" (supposedly made by Terri) until about five years after Michael Schiavo got rich from two lawsuits:

I doubt there were any real ideas, just talk. Or, he could have been holding out for that $850/hr. Or, he didn't want to save Terri and was just better with words than the average troll. Whatever, he's done here.

I think Michael's playing it very careful with Jodi AND Jodi who has now had two children with him, problably feels stuck. I also think she was a confused and corrupt person before she ever met Michael. We can pray that she'll talk, but it's extremely doubtful.

The part that jumped out at me was, "to shepherd the Church, against which the gates of hell wouldn't prevail." Might hell be trying to prevail symbolically in someone's twisted, new age way of thinking?

Hell's tried before, and sometimes appears to win, but in the end it always loses.
